May Day in the Amusement Park.

1st of May is almost over already here in Finland by the time I'm writing this. But it is so hard to make timely celebration-posts when you should be out celebrating yourself! :D If you want to read more about the celebrating of May Day in Finland, I wrote a bit about it last year.

Today we visited a small, traveling fairground called Tivoli Sariola and who else would join the party but Remy the jolly pomeranian girl!

Sorry for not answering to comments in a while. This is what I've been doing! Working my --- off for the research. (It's been sort of fun though, the topic is interesting :) We have the brand-new library building at the university and most people enjoy working on the top floors. I, however, dwell in the coolness and privacy of the basement.

...which was not very private since there was some man sitting next to me and didn't show any sign of leaving. So I decided I'd see what he'd do if I started taking doll-photos (well, actually I took Remy and my camera there on intention, because there were some interesting-looking storage-shelves I wanted to photograph with her. But that didn't work out. I tend to take Remy with me often, just for "company", and just because I always feel happier when I look at her. Maybe I will start to take a series of photos where Remy joins me in my everyday life.). He ignored me, haha! I guess that's what people in Helsinki generally do when someone does something out of the ordinary. They've gotten used to the loonies.

Anteeksi kun en ole vastaillut kommentteihin tai kommentoinut takaisin vähään aikaan. Tätä ole ollut tekemässä! Kuluttamassa kankkujani tutkielmaa kirjoittaessa. (vaikka on kyllä ollut hauskaakin, aihe on mielenkiintoinen. :) Yliopiston tuliterässä kirjastorakennuksessa ihmiset tykkäävät yleensä parveutua ylempiin kerroksiin. Minä puolestani majailen kellarin viileydessa ja yksityisyydessä.

...mikä ei tänään ollut kovin yksityistä, koska siellä oli joku setämies istuskelemassa vieressä ja kirjoittelemassa eikä tehnyt elettäkään lähteäkseen. Ei edes tauolle! Itse kävin parikin kertaa. Ihme setä. Päätin sitten kokeilla miten setä reagoi jos otan vähän nukkekuvia (no oikeastaan olin napannut Remyn ja kameran mukaan siltä varalta, kun halusin kuvailla jänniä rullaavia varastohyllyjä mutta ei se oikein onnistunutkaan.. Minulla on toisinaan tapana ottaa Remy mukaan, ihan vaan "seuraksi" ja koska tulen iloiseksi sitä katsellessa. Ehkäpä toteutan kuvasarjan, jossa Remy osallistuu puuhiini enemmänkin.) Setämies osoitti lahjakkuutensa välinpitämättömyyden jalossa taidossa, hehheh! Vaikka se taitaa olla helsinkiläisten yleisin reaktio kun joku toimii poikkeuksellisella tavalla. Ovat tottuneet höperöihin.

Everyday Mash-up; GroceryShopping Madness! - Arkipäivämuussia; ruokaostoshulluutta!

Here's my latest grocery-shopping! Ta-dah! Pretty interesting, huh. ;) I just thought it might be "funny" to give some insight what a non-adult "grown-up" like me buys~

Because I can't go through a market without checking the computer and gaming-section first, let me present to you my new take-along-on-journeys laptop mouse (on the far right)~ This is a limited edition Kenzo-designed mouse with graphics that I think will match my steampunk-vibes. (gotta take a closer pic to show you guys).

Then, my source of life-power; sugar-free energy-drink! Whee! Like the sneakers, this shows how much of a teenage boy I am with my tastes, Lol! (and those socks you see are from the kiddie-clothes-department, and they are for boys... ehhehe)

Then; three bags of Danish licorice-salmiac candy (Fireheads), my new discovery! (Got three bags to take them to my salmiac-keen cousins... :3)

And my "healthy lunch" for the seminar at the university; a bag of Karelian pies, a Twix-bar and drinking yoghurt (I know someone deemed drinking yoghurt as "environment enemy no.1", but look at all the f*cks I give, Mwahaha >:) )
Water (bottled water, from the store and NOT from the TAP! OMG! *naturelovers are fainting from shock left-and-right* There has been a debate in Finland about the necessity of buying bottled water, when you have "perfectly good" water running from tap. But; I hate the taste of tap-water so blah! Bottled water for the win I say!), and apple juice for my mum. You still here?

...Oh, the elixir of life is missing here; diet coke!

Nyt on pakko tehdä jotain radikaalia ja postata ruoka-ostoksista, jotta näkisitte, mitä kaltaiseni epä-aikuinen ikänsä puolesta täysi-ikäinen ostaa kun menee markettiin!

En koskaan ohita tietsikka- ja peliosastoa marketeissa joten tällä kertaa mukaan tarttui Kenzon designaama, minusta kivasti steampunkahtava hiiri kannettavaan! Pitänee ottaa lähikuvia että näette nuo hienot kuvat siinä!

Ja Sitten! Elinvoimaani ylläpitävä sokeriton Battery-energiajuoma!! Whee! (Ee ässää en ole vielä maistanut mutta suunnitelmissa on~) Vähän kuin ne tossut paria postausta sitten, tämä näyttää miten makuni on kuin teini-ikäisellä pojalla, Lollol! niin ja nuo sukatkin on lasten osastolta ja poikien puolelta. Gotta love that tiger~

Sitten; kolme pussia tanskalaisia lakritsi-salmiakki karkkeja, "Tulipäitä" (Fireheads), uusin löydökseni! Olen hyvä löytämään erilaisia salmiakkimakuja! Ostin niitä kolmepussia sen takia, että salmiakkihimoisille serkuillekin riittäisi tästä satsista~ :3

Ja sit vuorossa terve lounaani yliopistolle; pussi karjalanpiirakoita (koska Suomessa on hankala löytää mitään snackpalaa, mikä EI olisi kuorrutettu majoneesilla :P ), Twix-patukka (edelleen pidän enemmän Raider-nimestä, miksi oi miksi menitte nimen vaihtamaan, patukkaihmiset!? ) ja gasp! juotavaa jogurttia. Tiedän että joidenkin mielestä juotava jogurtti on turhake no.1, mutta kuka nyt raahaa jotain lusikkaa mukana luentosaliin (en minä!).
Vettä (jälleen GASP! pullotettua, oooh, pyörryttelen täällä nyt kaikkia luonto-innokkaita >:-) Mutta en voi sietää kraanaveden makua, joten sori~

(Lisäksi olen sitä mieltä, että vaikka pullotetussa vedessä olisikin bakteereja, bakteerit on sentään LUONNOLLISIA, toisin kuin kemikaalit, joita käytetään kraanaveden puhdistukseen. So there!)
Jaaa omppumehua äidille. 'cos I'm a good girl.
