Boksikuvia ja mietteitä Isul Johanista - Box-pictures of Isul Johan

Siellä se on! Niin koskemattomana ja siistinä. Tohtiiko sitä sieltä pois ottaakaan...? - There he is! So pristine, do I even dare to take him out of his box--? DX

Pitkästä aikaa päivitän blogia~ ^3^ Kesällä on vain niin paljon tekemistä, että blogi tuntuu väkisinkin unohtuvan... No, mutta nyt uusin innoin! Materiaalia onkin kerääntynyt; Saksan matka, vierailu nukkeja harrastavan ystäväni luona, Animecon, uusia figuureja, Nitro+Chiralin uusimman Visual Novelin, DRAMAtical Murder:in hehkuttaminen...

Aloitanpa kuitenkin nyt viimeisimmästä! Kävimme ystävieni ja muutamien sukulaisten kanssa Bengtskärin majakkasaarella retkellä yön yli ja halusin ottaa sinne nukkeja mukaan kuvattavaksi. Olen käynyt kerran aiemmin lukiossa koulun kanssa retkellä tuolla ja mieleeni juolahti, että majakkatornin karut taustat sopisivat kuin nappi otsaan Isul Johanini (eli Alois -kuten olen hänet nimennyt, Kuroshitsujin toisen kauden hahmon mukaan. ;3 ) kuvaamiseen.

Mutta: keräilijän ongelma!! Vaikka Alois on ollut minulla jo... hmm tammikuusta asti, en ole raaskinut ottaa häntä laatikostaan.
Isul Johan kun on erityisen upea pakkauksessaan, joten olen lykännyt nuken "vapauttamisen" hetkeä, voidakseni vielä hetken aikaa ihastella sitä siellä. Lisäksi, aina kun otan nuken tai figuurin laatikostaan, keräilijä minussa kuolee hieman, koska ainahan esine on arvokkaampi ja alkuperäisempi kun sitä ei ole koskaan poistettu alkuperäisistä pakkausmateriaaleistaan. Tästä syystä minulla on *vieläkin* osa nukeistani ja figuureistani laatikoissaan...

Yritän päästä tästä päähän pinttymästäni eroon, mutta se vie aikaa. On kuitenkin todella kivaa kun nukke tai figuuri on ulos laatikostaan ja sitä pääsee tarkastelemaan kunnolla lähempää ja "leikkimään" sekä posettelemaan sitä. :3
Minkäslaisia näkemyksiä teillä on tästä aiheesta, lukijani, kiehtooko keräilyesineiden arvon säilyttäminen sekä kauniit laatikko"kokoonpanot" vai otatteko nuket ja figuurit ulos muovi- ja pahvivankiloistaan heti kun saatte ne kätösiinne? Mitä mieltä olette keräilijöistä, jotka säilyttävät kaikki - tai osan - tavaroistaan bokseissaan? Haluaisin kuulla mielipiteitä ja näkemyksiä tästä aiheesta.

At long last I'm updating my neglected blog! ^3^ But I just can't help it, I've been so busy this summer that I seem to have no free moment for this blog project of mine, although I find it highly enjoyable to write about my interests and hobbies, let alone share some piccies.

Oh well, this is a new start so I'll try to update at a more regular basis from now on. And boy do I have loads of things to write about; my trip to Germany (and I took my DikaDoll Autumn BJD with me so it was his first trip abroad too!), a visit to my friend who is also a doll-figure-and-anime hobbyist, one of the biggest events in Finnish anime-fandom, Animecon, new anime figures, fangirling about Nitro+Chiral's newest visual novel, DRAMAtical Murder...

So lots of catching up to do!
But I'll just go ahead and start from the newest stuff: an over-night trip to the Bengtskär lighthouse. I wanted to take some dolls along for the trip because I knew that I could get some great photos there! I thought it would be fitting to photograph Alois, my Isul Johan against the background of the lighthouse tower with slightly gothic-looking atmosphere.


...Buuuut: Collector's Problem!! Although Alois has bee in my possession since... hm... last January? I still haven't taken him out of his box... ^^;;
Isul Johan is *remarkably* neat-looking in his box, so I have postponed freeing him so that I could admire the beautifl packaging a little longer... Apart from that, the Collector in me always dies a little inside whenever I take a doll or a figure out of its box, because they are more valuable and more "original" if they have Never Been Out of the Box. This is the reason I *still* have some of my dolls and figures (that I have owned for ages!) in their boxes... I just can't bring myself to "out" them all.


I've been trying and trying to get rid of this little box-obsession of mine, but it takes time to get used to. It IS nice when the doll or the figure is freed from the contains of its box, that's when the real fun starts when you can "play" with it, and admire its fine details and painting closer. And in the case of articulated dolls and figures you get to try out different poses~ ^3^/


So, what do You think? Do you find it difficult to take your collectables out of their packages or do you waste no time in outing your precious ones from the confines of their cardboard-and-plastic cases?
What do you think about collectors who keep most - or some - of their dolls and figures in their original boxes? I'd like o hea your opinions about this matter so please share~! ;3

Boonus - otin Aloisn ulos boksistaan autossa matkalla kohti Kasnäsiä, josta vene Bengtskäriin lähti. Oli kuriositeettina pakko ottaa kuva siitä, miten tärisevässä autossa nukke polvilla yitin poistaa teippejä käsistä. :D

Seuraavassa postauksessa sitten kuvia ja tunnelmia itse majakkasaarelta -! Nyt täällä ukkostaa joten täytyy laittaa postaus menemään ja sammuttaa kone kiireen vilkkaa!

Isul Kazuya Kujo - first photos!

Nooonniiin, jäbä tuli kotiin! Ja eikun heti ottamaan kuvia vaan! Tosin varsinaisen kamerani akku oli tyhjänä eli jouduin ottamaan kuvia kännykän kameralla. Oletin että ulkona se olisi onnistunut parhaiten, mutta en ottanut huomioon että tuosta läpinäkyvästä muovista heijastuu ihan törkeästi... Ruh!

I thought I could shoot better pics outside but didn't take into consideration that the clear plastic "window" on the box reflects like mad! Urgh!!

Eka kuva boksista kotona sisällä. Feat. Spican paras kaveri eli läppäri, Fireball-salmiakkikarkkeja ja tarrakirja. En siivonnut tätä kuvaa varten, tosi juttu!
Hän on erittäin söpöööö~ (*hui, tätä kirjoittaessa alkoi yhtäkkiä boom- ukkostaa! *säiks!)
Mietinkin ennen kuin näin tätä boksia IRL, miten tuo hattu tullaan esillepanemaan tuossa boksissa, kun tavallisest, jos on hatukkaita nukkeja (esim. Taeyang Lunatic White Rabbit) se hattu on sivussa. Mutta se olikin tuolla tavalla (aikst tökösti, Spican huom.) lätkäisty nuken "päähän". Joten paketista ei näe kunnolla edes nuken kasvoja! Höh!

He's very very cuuuuuute! (*uwah! While I'm writing this it started to go boom with thunder~*) I WAS wondering how they would present his at in this box-display, because the most dolls hat come with hats have them tied on the side of the box (Like Taeyang Lunatic White Rabbit). But on Isul Kazuya Kujo it is on the top of his head... which looks pretty... moronic if you ask me! You can't even see the doll's face right because of the hat. Humph!

Ja taas kuva boksista kokonaisuudessaan. Tuo boksi-design on kyllä kaunis~ Mutta tätä nukkea en kyllä tule säilyttämään boksissaan, koska haluan nähdä hänet kunnolla ilman tuota amish-hattua :D

And another pic of the box. I like the design very much, it's really beautiful~ But I won't be keeping this doll un-opened in his box because I want to be able to see his face better without that amish-style hat blocking the view. :D

Awww... hän näyttää niin viattomalta. Kuvissa ei näy, mutta noissa poskissa on aika voimakas blushaus meneillään, ihan kuin poika punastelisi koko ajan. Jotenkin hauskaa.

Awww.. he looks so innocent. It doesn't show correctly in these pics, but he has pretty visible blushing going on on his cheeks. It looks like he's constantly blushing from being shy... or something else. >:D

Toi naama, iiks! Iiiihanat silmächipit, paljon kauniimmat kuin promokuvissa! Tykkään myös tuosta, miten silmät on rajattu. Ja ei "alaripsiä", näyttää hyvältä. Aika jännää, miten erinäköisiä nukkeja saadaan samasta moldista, mutta eri face-upeilla. Esim. Isul MAO on sellainen möksöttäjä mutta Kazuya näyttää tuollaiselta haaveksivalta runopojalta...

That face, eek, adorable! Gotta luuuuuuv tose eyechips, they are MUCH prettier than in the promo-pictures! I also like the way they have painted the eyelashes and that "eyeliner". And no lashes on his cheeks, which is nice.
It's pretty awesome how they can make dolls of the same mold look completely different just with face-up alone! For example Isul MAO is a bit of a moody rascal judging by his looks, but Kazuya here seems like a dreamy poet...

Viimeiseksi vielä yksityiskoha boksista. Jos joku osaa kertoa, millainen sarja Gosick on ja kannattaako sitä katsoa/lukea, niin otan infoa mielellään vastaan~

At last, a detail from the box. If someone can tell me, what kind of a series Gosick is and is it worth watching/reading, I'd gladly hear it / read it~

Tällä kertaa vain boksikuvia, kun piti ottaa ne äkkiä enkä ehtinyt poistaa poikaa vankilastaan. Olen lähdössä matkalle ja kaikkea järjestelyjä vielä tekemättä. Lisäksi pohdin, ottaisinko mukaan Xavierin vai jonkin pienemmistä nukeistani (LOL! kirjoitin äsken "ukeistani" XD siis tarkoittaen Taeyangeja ja Isuleita... ja ehkä myös Dal Tinaa.. Ottaisin kyllä mieluiten poikanuken mukaan :P  ) kuvattavaksi... Otan siitäkin mielipiteitä vastaan mutta mahdollisimman pian koska lähden jo huomenna, lauantai-illalla.

Only box-pics this time because I was in a hurry. I'm leaving for a trip abroad tomorrow and have some things that need to be taken care of before my departure, se I didn't have the time to release him from his cage.
I'm also considerin, whether to take Xavier, or one of my smaller dolls (Taeyang or Isul.. or maybe Dal Tina, but I'd rather take one of th boys since I seem to "bond" with them better...) with me... If you have an opinion, please do share it! (but be quick about it, since I'm leaving tomorrow, on Saturday evening...)

My New Isul Doll~ Uusin Isulini!

Yay, sain juuri tiedon että uusin Pullip-perheen nukkeni Isul Kazuya Kujo on haettavissa postista! <3 Olen ollut tässä vähän BJD-nukkien lumoissa ja hiukan jättänyt vähemmän Pullip/Isul/Taeyang/Dal-harrastusta mutta olen silti ihan innoissani tästä herrasta~

Gosick-sarjasta minulla ei ole hajuakaan, mutta tykkään tuon nuken ulkonäöstä ja asusta. Ihanat tummanruskeat hiukset ja vetoavat silmächipit. En ole vielä varma, mikä hänelle nimeksi, tai millainen hahmo tälle nukelle tulee, mutta olen pohtinut Kazuo-nimeä. Tuosta hatusta en ole niin varma, mutta muuten~

Yay! I just found out my new doll from the Pullip-family, Isul Kazuya Kujo is waiting for me to pick him up from the local post office! <3
I've been so captivated by BJD-dolls lately that I haven't had so much interest in Pullip/Isul/Taeyang/Dal-dolls, but that being said, I'm still pretty excited to see this young mister in person~

I haven't got a glue about this Gosick-series, but I find the doll and his outfit attractive. I love the shade of his hair and the eyechips look appealing. I'm still not sure what to call him, or what his character will be like, but I've toyed with the idea of naming him Kazuo. Or then some German name. I'm not so sure about the hat, if I like it or not, though~
