Wonder what kind of a year 2017 will be? I have some plans that I'd like to share in this post!
Since it's going to be a huge wall of text if I lump everything together, I'll write about my hobby plans first and then make another post about my personal plans!

Minkähänlainen vuodesta 2017 mahtaakaan tulla? Minulla on joitakin suunnitelmia, joita ajattelin jakaa kanssanne tässä postauksessa!
Koska muuten tästä tulee yksi hirviömäinen postaus, jos kirjoitan ihan kaikesta, jaan postauksen kahteen osaan. Tässä osassa nukkeilu- ja figuureilu-juttuja, seuraavassa sitten muita suunnitelmia!
Here's to the beginning of one of my - hopefully many - posts from our nerdgirling trip to Japan with my friend Petunia.
The first days of the trip were spent in Akihabara Electric Town, like good little nerdgirls we are! It's a district in Tokyo where a lot of specialists stores for gaming, anime merchandise, figures, miniature models - and dolls - are located. I don't think Akihabara needs a lot of introduction but to say it shortly, it's a center where you can find almost anything and everything related to the otaku culture.
In this post I'll talk a little about Azone Label Shop in Akihabara. It's one of the Azone International brand shops specializing in their dolls and the accessories for them. If you don't know what an Azone doll is, Tiinyan has written an excellent introduction to them in her blog Pure Neemo Diaries!

Tästä lähtee käyntiin yksi - toivottavasti monista tulevista - postauksistani jossa ruodin nörttityttöilymatkaamme Japaniin ystäväni Petunian kanssa.
Ensimmäiset päivät vietimme tietenkin Akihabara Electric Townissa, kuten kunnon nörttien kuuluu. Se on Tokion kaupunginosa, jossa sijaitsee keskittymä liikkeitä, jotka ovat erikoistuneet peleihin, anime fanituotteisiin ja -figuureihin, pienoismalleihin - ja tietysti nukkeihin. Akihabara ei taida juuri tarvita erikoisia esittelyjä, mutta lyhykäisesti sanoakseni se on keskus, josta voi löytää melkein kaikkea otakukulttuuriin liittyvää.
My life has been really hectic and for a while I thought I should put the doll hobby on hold. As it just so happens, now I'm having some time on my hands again due to some events that are somewhat of a sore thing for me. So right now, I need something fun to take my mind off of sad things. So I'm returning to the things that I know have brought happiness before - dolls, figures and this blog.
So what can you expect from now on? I've been going through the photos I took from our trip to Japan with Petunia in July and am working on a post of Azone Label Shop Akihabara and my experiences in Akihabara in general. :3 I also received a new resin doll not so long ago so you can expect a box opening soon. Looking back at my post rate, I've managed two measly posts in these two past months and I'm ashamed. ^^;; I'll try to aim at posting weekly, if just to contemplate on my thoughts on this hobby at the moment.
I got a blog tag challenge from Safir a while back and as I have been too busy to answer it, I thought that it would make a good kick start for my come back. Here you go~

Elämäni on taas ollut yhtä pyörremyrskyä jonkin aikaa ja mielessä on käväissyt nukkeharrastuksen laittaminen jäähylle. Nyt on kuitenkin käynyt niin että minulla on taas yllättäin hieman vapaata aikaa käsissäni eräiden itselleni hieman kipeiden tapahtumien johdosta. Tällä hetkellä tarvitsen siis rutkasti jotain hauskuutusta, jolla työntää ikävät asiat taka-alalle mielestä. Palaan siis niihin juttuihin, joiden olen kokenut tuottavat minulle iloa aiemmin - eli nukkeihin, figuureihin ja tähän blogiin.
Mitä siis on odotettavissa lähitulevaisuudessa? Olen käynyt läpi kuvia Petunian ja minun yhteiseltä Japaninmatkalta heinäkuussa ja seuraavaksi voisin kirjoittaa Azone Label Shop Akihabarasta, sekä yleisesti kokemuksistani Akihabarassa.:3
Minulle saapui äskettäin myös yksi uusi hartsinukke, joten siitä boksinavausta luvassa. Katson häpeillen postaustahtiani muutaman kuukauden ajalta, vain kaksi köppäistä postausta kahden kuukauden aikana... Tästä lähtien yritän terästäytyä postaamaan viikottain, vaikka se olisikin sitten omia pohdintojani tästä harrastuksesta, maailmankaikkeudesta ja kaikesta.

Olin ystävien luona uudenvuoden aattona ja he olivat saaneet lahjoja Japanista. Oli pakko ottaa kuva tuosta suloisesta kagamimochista, joka on siis traditonaalinen japanilainen uuden vuoden koriste.

Olen takaisin syyslomalta, jonka tietenkin vietin Saksassa Hampurissa! 10 Random Things about Me:
1. I think it would be the bestest thing ever if we humans had tails as well. <3 If they ever invent a way to attach a tail-implant to a human being, I'll get one as soon as possible.
2. I quess people don't see me very threatening because I seem to be a rather easily approachable person. Complete strangers often come to chat with me.
3. I love theatre and performing arts. I went to see Cirque Dracula - the vampire variety show in Turku last Saturday. It was held in a spiegeltent - a mirror tent from the 19th century Belgium. The show was breath-taking, not to mention the wonderful spiegeltent!
4. Sometimes I regret that I didn't pursue my dream to become a professional animator.
5. At the moment I'm really addicted to a milk drink called Power Cow. It comes in strawberry, chocolate and banana flavours! All of them are delicious! And very artificial-tasting! I love artificial flavours! You should try it too!
6. Last week the busdriver-guy asked me if I wanted a ticket for adults or for children. O___O
7. I love my eyeglasses! I'd never go to a vision-correction surgeryif it wasn't absolutely necessary due to professional reasons or something like that.
8. Halloween is one of the culmination points of the year. I'm of the opinion that it should be added and included perpetually in the holiday traditions here in Finland.
9. I discovered the joys of swimming once again this summer! I swam at least once a day, more than I have in many, many years!
10. Fun thing about autumn - the jellyfish come out and it's fun to spot them in the sea! ^3^

10 asiaa minusta:
1. Minusta olisi ihan parasta, jos ihmisillä olisi häntä. <3 Jos tulevaisuudessa on mahdollista saada häntäimplantti, hankin sellaisen heti.
2. Olen ilmeisesti jotenkin helposti lähestyttävä tai en kovinkaan pelottavan oloinen tyyppi, koska usein random ventovieraat ihmiset tulevat juttelemaan minulle kaikkea. 3. Rakastan teatteria ja kaikenlaista performanssitaidetta. Kävin viime lauantaina katsomassa viimeisessä näytöksessä Cirque Dracula -vampyyrivarieteen 1800-luvulta olevassa belgialaisessa spiegeltent -peiliteltassa. Oli aivan mahtava esitys ja ennenkaikkea esityspaikka! tosin olisin toivonut esitykseltä enemmän kauhuelementtejä. 4. Toisinaan minua harmittaa etten toteuttanut haluani kouluttautua ammattimaiseksi animaattoriksi. 5. Tällä hetkellä minulla on kova addiktio Arla Power Cow maitojuomiin (mansikka, suklaa ja banaani! Kaikki yhtä hyviä! Ja esanssisia! Rakastan esanssia! Maistakaa ihmeessä!). 6. Viime viikolla bussikuskisetä kysyi minulta, tuleeko minulle aikuisten vai lasten lippu. O__O
7. Rakastan silmälaseja. En koskaan aio mennä korjauttamaan näköäni leikkauksella ellei ole jotain ammatillista tms. pakotetta. 8. Halloween on minusta yksi vuoden kohokohdista. Olen niitä joiden mielestä se saisi jäädä Suomen juhlaperinteeseen pysyvästi. 9. Löysin tänä kesänä uimisen uudelleen, kävin uimassa melkein joka päivä kesällä, enemmän kuin moniin vuosiin! 10. 1. Your favorite band or music? - Electro. There are a lot of good bands and artists but Massive Attack and Susumu Hirasawa make music that I especially love. Also; DRAMAtical Murder soundtrack and Goat Bed's OP/ED themes in the game.

8. What's the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
- AAAA, what should I choose from _all_the embarrassing things to have happened to me...
Well, I'll tell you one that happened this summer. I'm a foot-in-mouth type of person so mostly all the embarrassing stuff that happens to me is caused by my own blabbering.
I asked a nice old granny if a certain place was haunted. Silly me, I thought that she would be happy that someone tried to make a conversation with her. Grannies usually like to tell stories, you know.
Well, this granny wasn't happy at all. "Of course there are no ghosts here! What on earth are you thinking?!", she said angrily. So I went and made a nice old lady mad. >__<;;
(...later on when I had recovered from my embarrasment a bit, I thought that maybe I touched a sore spot there. Maybe there WERE ghosts and she didn't want to discuss the matter...)

- AAAA, mikä niistä _kaikista_ jutuista nyt olisi nolointa...
No kerrotaan nolo juttu joka tapahtui kesällä. Olen kova puhumaan ennen kuin ajattelen, siksi usein minulle sattuvat nolot jutut liittyvät omiin hölötyksiini. Kysyin eräältä ruotsinkieliseltä mummolta, kummitteliko eräässä paikassa. Suuresti rohkeuteni keräten ruotsiksi. Luulin vielä että mummo ilahtuisi kun hänen kanssaan jutustellaan. Mummothan yleensä tykkäävät kun joku kyselee tällaisista tarinajutuista ja muista.
No tämä mummo ei ilahtunut. Vastaus oli "Naturligtvis finns det inga spöken här! Vad hittar du på?!" Kaiken lisäksi paikalla olleen seurueen kaikki muut tykkäsivät kovasti herttaisen oloisesta mummosta. Tottakai ainoastaan minä onnistuin sitten suututtamaan mummon... >__<;;
(myöhemmin tosin kun olin hiukan toipunut nolostumisestani, tuli mieleen että ehkä olin osunutkin arkaan paikkaan, ehkä siellä OLI kummituksia ja mummeli ei vain halunnut puhua asiasta...)

- That I'd work full-time in some nice Evangelist-Lutheran congregation, maybe doing some freelance illustration jobs on the side and publish a comic or two. I'd have a lovely pet dog and lead a normal, healthy life. And that my family and my friends would have happy lives too.

- I try to, if I remember. I should get a different one for each coat I own. I like childish, colorful reflectors, in the shapes of funny animals and the like.

- My autumn holiday is coming. I've already booked a hotelroom in Hamburg, Germany. I really truly only feel home and at ease in Hamburg.

- Syysloma on tulossa. Hampuriin olisi tarkoitus mennä ihan vaan hengailemaan, varasin juuri hotellihuoneen. Tunnen henkisesti olevani kotona Hampurissa.
9. What kind of a doll photograph do you dream of taking?
- What an excellent question!
Actually I have two photography-aspirations; one of them is a cyberpunk-inspired pic, with lots of neonlights, cables and metallic things in the background. The doll in question would be clothed in futuristic garments. I'm thinking of one of my android-characters, Radu or Wolfram.
The other dream-photo would be styled in a neo-victorian style, with steampunkish hindnotes, lots of antique props and shades of sepia. I'd like to take this kind of a photo of Xavier and Bram in a steampunk-setting.
9. Millaisesta nukkekuvasta haaveilet tai mihin etsit sopivaa paikkaa/valoa tai jotain muuta?
- Mahtava kysymys! Oikeastaan minulla on kaksi haavetta; toinen olisi sellainen cyberpunk-henkinen jossa olisi paljon neonvaloja, johtoja ja metallia, ja nukke olisi futuristisissa vaatteissa. Todennäköisesti jostakin androidihahmostani, Radusta tai Wolframista tämä kuva.
Toinen kuvahaave olisi neoviktoriaanisteemainen, steampunkahtava, jossa olisi paljon antiikkirekvisiittaa ja ruskean sävyjä. Esim. Xavierista ja Bramista yhteiskuva steampunk-asetelmassa.

- Um... my pet gerbil died today of old age. So I'm a bit sad, actually. :'c
But she had a good long life for a gerbil, and I'm grateful to her for being my pet. I loved her very much, and I have only the bestest of memories of her. <3

Pitkästä aikaa päivitän blogia~ ^3^ Kesällä on vain niin paljon tekemistä, että blogi tuntuu väkisinkin unohtuvan... No, mutta nyt uusin innoin! Materiaalia onkin kerääntynyt; Saksan matka, vierailu nukkeja harrastavan ystäväni luona, Animecon, uusia figuureja, Nitro+Chiralin uusimman Visual Novelin, DRAMAtical Murder:in hehkuttaminen...
Aloitanpa kuitenkin nyt viimeisimmästä! Kävimme ystävieni ja muutamien sukulaisten kanssa Bengtskärin majakkasaarella retkellä yön yli ja halusin ottaa sinne nukkeja mukaan kuvattavaksi. Olen käynyt kerran aiemmin lukiossa koulun kanssa retkellä tuolla ja mieleeni juolahti, että majakkatornin karut taustat sopisivat kuin nappi otsaan Isul Johanini (eli Alois -kuten olen hänet nimennyt, Kuroshitsujin toisen kauden hahmon mukaan. ;3 ) kuvaamiseen.
Mutta: keräilijän ongelma!! Vaikka Alois on ollut minulla jo... hmm tammikuusta asti, en ole raaskinut ottaa häntä laatikostaan.
Isul Johan kun on erityisen upea pakkauksessaan, joten olen lykännyt nuken "vapauttamisen" hetkeä, voidakseni vielä hetken aikaa ihastella sitä siellä. Lisäksi, aina kun otan nuken tai figuurin laatikostaan, keräilijä minussa kuolee hieman, koska ainahan esine on arvokkaampi ja alkuperäisempi kun sitä ei ole koskaan poistettu alkuperäisistä pakkausmateriaaleistaan. Tästä syystä minulla on *vieläkin* osa nukeistani ja figuureistani laatikoissaan...
Yritän päästä tästä päähän pinttymästäni eroon, mutta se vie aikaa. On kuitenkin todella kivaa kun nukke tai figuuri on ulos laatikostaan ja sitä pääsee tarkastelemaan kunnolla lähempää ja "leikkimään" sekä posettelemaan sitä. :3
Minkäslaisia näkemyksiä teillä on tästä aiheesta, lukijani, kiehtooko keräilyesineiden arvon säilyttäminen sekä kauniit laatikko"kokoonpanot" vai otatteko nuket ja figuurit ulos muovi- ja pahvivankiloistaan heti kun saatte ne kätösiinne? Mitä mieltä olette keräilijöistä, jotka säilyttävät kaikki - tai osan - tavaroistaan bokseissaan? Haluaisin kuulla mielipiteitä ja näkemyksiä tästä aiheesta.
At long last I'm updating my neglected blog! ^3^ But I just can't
help it, I've been so busy this summer that I seem to have no free
moment for this blog project of mine, although I find it highly
enjoyable to write about my interests and hobbies, let alone share some
piccies.
Oh well, this is a new start so I'll try to
update at a more regular basis from now on. And boy do I have loads of
things to write about; my trip to Germany (and I took my DikaDoll Autumn
BJD with me so it was his first trip abroad too!), a visit to my friend
who is also a doll-figure-and-anime hobbyist, one of the biggest events
in Finnish anime-fandom, Animecon, new anime figures, fangirling about
Nitro+Chiral's newest visual novel, DRAMAtical Murder...
So lots of catching up to do!
But
I'll just go ahead and start from the newest stuff: an over-night trip
to the Bengtskär lighthouse. I wanted to take some dolls along for the
trip because I knew that I could get some great photos there! I thought
it would be fitting to photograph Alois, my Isul Johan against the
background of the lighthouse tower with slightly gothic-looking
atmosphere.
...Buuuut: Collector's Problem!! Although Alois has bee in my
possession since... hm... last January? I still haven't taken him out of
his box... ^^;;
Isul Johan is *remarkably* neat-looking in his
box, so I have postponed freeing him so that I could admire the beautifl
packaging a little longer... Apart from that, the Collector in me
always dies a little inside whenever I take a doll or a figure out of
its box, because they are more valuable and more "original" if they have
Never Been Out of the Box. This is the reason I *still* have some of my
dolls and figures (that I have owned for ages!) in their boxes... I
just can't bring myself to "out" them all.
I've been trying and trying to get rid of this little
box-obsession of mine, but it takes time to get used to. It IS nice when
the doll or the figure is freed from the contains of its box, that's
when the real fun starts when you can "play" with it, and admire its
fine details and painting closer. And in the case of articulated dolls
and figures you get to try out different poses~ ^3^/
So, what do You think? Do you find it difficult to take your
collectables out of their packages or do you waste no time in outing
your precious ones from the confines of their cardboard-and-plastic
cases?
What do you think about collectors who keep most - or some -
of their dolls and figures in their original boxes? I'd like o hea your

Boonus - otin Aloisn ulos boksistaan autossa matkalla kohti Kasnäsiä, josta vene Bengtskäriin lähti. Oli kuriositeettina pakko ottaa kuva siitä, miten tärisevässä autossa nukke polvilla yitin poistaa teippejä käsistä. :D
Seuraavassa postauksessa sitten kuvia ja tunnelmia itse majakkasaarelta -! Nyt täällä ukkostaa joten täytyy laittaa postaus menemään ja sammuttaa kone kiireen vilkkaa!
