My Valentine is a Unicorn

Yes!! One of the dollies I've bought is home, right in time for Valentine's Day ~ ^3^
I adopted this doll from a local fellow BJD-hobbyist, who offered him for sale at a Finnish BJD-forum. I just couldn't resist him~ x3

Although it's a re-homed doll, the former owner has kept everything including the box in top-condition. It felt almost like getting a brand new doll. :3

Jipii!! Yksi ostamistani nukeista on nyt kotona, parahiksi ystävänpäiväksi~ ^3^
Adoptoin tämän nuken Minnakkeelta Hartsilapsista (Kiitokset ja terveiset Minnakkeelle, jos satut lukemaan tätä~ :3 )~
Oli varsin hauskat jutustelut ja sushittelut Kluuvin kauppakeskuksessa. Sen jälkeen jäin pyörimään Kluuvin "oleskelualueelle" ja ottamaan boksinavausvalokuvia, koska siellä on niin hyvä valaistus.

Vaikka nukke olikin "käytetty", Minnake on pitänyt kaiken huippukuosissa, oli ihan kuin olisin avannut täysin uuden nuken laatikkoa. :3

Ja tässä hän on!! Soom Teenie-Gem Bygg!! Ja näyttää pelästyneeltä!! Voiiii, hänen pienet hampaansa näyttävät siltä että ne taitaa olla skulptattu?! Kuinka söpöä~ x3 Tyydytin Bygginnälkääni katsomalla lukuisia omistajakuvia, mutta hampaat olivat silti yllätys, ilmeisesti ne näkyvät vain tästä kulmasta, alaviistosta.

He has the factory face-up which is really really beautiful and has some glitter in it too. No pics can do it justice~

I bought this wig weeks before I had any idea that I was going to get a Bygg. It was supposed to go on Sugarbe Serena I'm waiting for but it seems that it fits Floyd, my Bygg rather nicely~ (although the other wig I got for Serena from the same company was of better quality... :-/ )

Ostin tämän peruukin siis viikkoja ennen kuin minulla oli mitään hajua että hankin Byggin. Peruukin oli tarkoitus olla tuloillaan olevan Sugarble Serenan vaihtoperuukki, mutta se näyttää sopivan melko hyvin Floydille~ (Vaikkakin olen vähän pettynyt tämän vaaleanharmaan peruukin "laatuun". Se toinen peruukki, jonka hankin Serenalle on paljon parempi... :-/ )

Floyd: "Did you now that we unicorns like to live in pairs and get lonely easily without our friends? Wouldn't you like to give my friend Beyla a home too? ^3^"

Spica: "...now I understand why they say that it's impossible to only get ONE Teenie-Gem... ;-D"

Chibeja chibeja joka puolella~ Olen leikkinyt gen8:n ChibiMaker 1.1:llä DeviantArtissa ja tehnyt chibit nukkehahmoistani. Se on addiktoivaa ja kivaa! Haastanpa siis teidät kokeilemaan ja tekemään chibit nukkehahmoistanne, olivat ne sitten BJDitä tai Pullippeja~

Postatkaapas chibinne sitten blogiin ja ilmaiskaa kun olette näin toimineet minulle kommenttiboksissa niin voin tulla ihailemaan söpöläisiä chibejänne! :3

 Out of all the chibies I've made, I think that this one of Bram shows the most likeness to my doll and to the character. <3 He's just so lovable, even in chibi-form. Here's his "Let's go on a date, Xav!"-expression complete with a bouquet and all~

 I've made many different chibies of Holly but this one represents her current character, I think. It's been a bumpy road, creating Holly's character, maybe this shows in the way her looks change, too.
I added the whip to represent her somewhat mischievous nature.

Now we're getting to the really interesting part of this fooling around with the ChibiMaker. You can try and find out how your future dolls and characters will possibly look like! This is so entertaining for me, especially now that I'm waiting for three dolls at the same time... x''3 And I thought you'd be interested as well to see a glimpse of these new faces and characters of mine~
The waiting is driving me nuts, so I have to come up with things to make the time go faster.

So, here's Llyra, she's the fox-spirit character my Sugarble Serena who is in production at the moment, will host.
Let me tell you something about Serena - the waiting is getting on my nerves! It's barely been a month since I ordered her, but I've heard Sugarble is supposed to be a quick company that usually delivers dolls in less than a month. It would have been better if I had been told to wait for a longer period of time, so that I could have been prepared. When you start the wait by thinking that the doll will be home soon, it's nerve-wracking when it doesn't happen after all!
Well, maybe the Chinese New Year messes things up in Asia or something, because no word of my Serena yet. ;___;

...and then, there's Floyd. You've never heard of him before, because he was a biiiit of an impulse-buy. I'm not revealing much about him yet but here he is, as a chibi. I had to improvise a bit with him because ChibiMaker didn't gather everything I needed to create him. ^^;;;
I'm really surprised if someone gets, what doll he will be. :3

Nyt päästäänkin sitten erityisen mielenkiintoiseen osaan ChibiMakerin kanssa leikkimisestä. Voit sen avulla nimittäin kokeilla, miltä tulevat nukkesi ja hahmosi tulevat mahdollisesti näyttämään!
Tämä on minulle tosi viihdyttävää, varsinkin tällä hetkellä kun odotan yhtäaikaa kolmea nukkea... x'''3 Ja ajattelin että teistäkin olisi kiintoisaa nähdä pieni vilaus millaisia nämä uudet naamat ja hahmot tulevat olemaan~
Odotus ajaa minut kyllä ihan pähkinöiksi, joten minun täytyy keksiä juttuja joiden kanssa voin puuhastella että aika kuluisia nopeammin.

Noniin, tässä on Llyra, hän on kettuhenki-hahmoni, joka tulee asuttamaan Sugarble Serena-nukkea joka on tällä hetkellä valmistettavana.
Antakaas kun sanon sanasen Serenasta - odotus käy totta tosiaan hermoilleni! Siitä on vasta noin kuukausi kun tilasin hänet, mutta olen ollut siinä käsityksessä, että Sugarble toimittaa nukkensa nopeasti, alle kuukaudessa. Olisi ollut parempi jos olisi alunperin osannut asennoitua pidempään odotukseen, nyt kun odottaa sillä oletuksella että nukke on pian kotona, niin on hermoja raastavaa kun niin ei tapahdukaan!
No, ehkäpä sitten Kiinalainen uusivuosi sotkee asioita Aasiassa, tai jotain koska en ole kuullut mitään Serenastani. ;___;

...ja sitten meillä on siellä myös Floyd. Hänestä ette ole kuulleetkaan aiemmin, koska hän oli hieeeeman impulssiostos. En aio paljastaa hänestä paljoa vielä, mutta tässä hän on chibinä. Oli vaan pakko vähän improvisoida, kun ChibiMakerissa ei ollut kaikkia juttuja mitä olisin tarvinnut häntä varten. ^^;;;
Olen tosi yllättynyt jos joku arvaa tuosta, mikä nukke hän on. :3

I've already bought wigs for the both of them~ These are from Leeke World. I'm hoping they are the right size~ :3
Actually, when I bought that grey wig, I had no idea of Floyd yet, but surprisingly I think this wig will fit the character pretty well! I'm also very curious about how that Lavender-colored pink will look on Serena aka Llyra.

Oikeastaan, kun ostin tuon harmaan peruukin, minulla ei ollut vielä aavistustakaan Floydista, mutta yllättävää kyllä, uskon että tuo peruukki tulee sopimaan hahmolle loistavasti! Olen myös tosi utelias tietämään, miltä tuo laventelinvärinen peruukki näyttää Serenan eli Llyran päässä.
On kyllä kivaa suunnitella juttuja uusille nukeille!

...meet Radu! I went and made an order of a real skin brown Luts Kid Delf Bory. x''3 I know, I know, I considered getting him in normal or white skin, but Luts' beautiful tan won me over. Also, the tan version works better for my character who will be an android. (it'll make sense in my story, haha) I'm really excited about him, but I have no idea when he'll be show up at home. The order was made through ThinkPink and they tend to have longer waiting times as compared to ordering directly from Luts.

But the main thing is; I'm finally getting my own Bory, wheee!

 I've recently received a stash of dolly-related stuff in the mail and decided to introduce some of them in this post. Because I just like how neatly packed new doll-clothes are and I like to take pics of them before un-packing~ and without posts like this I couldn't use these pics anywhere. x3

Finally I found a *brown* checked suit for Bram~ <3 It can be surprising how hard it is to find brown clothes for BJDs. O__o Black, grey, even white, yeah sure but brown... why is it so rare?
This is the Checkmania-suit set from Dollmore. Now that I have this I might never have to buy new clothes for Bram again. (Bram: "Awwww.. ó3ò") If Bram was a Taeyang-doll this would be his "Stock-outfit".

Olen tässä saanut postissa kasan nukkeaiheista roipetta, joten ajattelin esitellä niitä hieman. Koska tykkään siitä kuinka siististi pakattuja nämä nukenvaatteet ovat ja tykkään ottaa muistoksi kuvia niistä ennenkuin poistan pakkauksistaan~ Ja ilman tällaisia postauksia en voisi käyttää näitä kuvia missään. x3

Vihdoinkin löysin *ruskean* ruudullisen puvun Bramille~ <3 On tosi yllättävää miten vaikeaa on löytää ruskeita vaatteita BJDille. O__o Mustaa, harmaata, jopa valkoista on tarjolla mutta ruskeaa... miksi sitä saa niin harvoin?
Tämä tässä on Checkmania-setti Dollmorelta. Nyt kun minulla on tämä niin ei ehkä tarvitse enää koskaan ostaa Bramille mitään vaatteita. (Bram: "No hööööööh... ó3ò") Jos Bram olisi Taeyang-nukke, niin tämä olisi hänen Stock-pukunsa.

1. What is your least favorite thing in the doll-hobby?

- Well, I have to say that there are so many lovely dolls out there and you'll end up wanting to own more than is possible... or more than is necessary!
Also; finding good quality wigs that fit your dolls' personalities is also a bit of a hassle... And people among doll collectors, who discriminate dolls that aren't made by the most expensive and popular doll companies. The competitiveness among doll owners.

Those kind of things come to my mind. Other than that, this s a really nice hobby~ <3

1. Mikä on inhokkiasiasi nukkeharrastuksessa?

- No täytyy sanoa, että se kun on niin paljon ihania nukkeja ja sitten päätyy haluamaan enemmän kuin on mahdollista... tai tarpeellista edes!
Myös hyvänlaatuisten peruukkien löytäminen on aikas haastavaa... Ja sitten ne ihmiset nukkeharrastajien joukossa, jotka syrjivät nukkeja joita ei ole valmistanut ne kaikkein kalliimmat ja suosituimmat firmat. Kilpailuasetelma nukkeharrastajin keskuudessa.

Sellasia juttuja tulee mieleen. Muuten tämä on oikein kiva harrastus~ <3

2. Do you think that you'll still have Pullip-dolls 80 years from now?

- Um... 80 years from now... I'll be, like, over hundred years old... ^^;; If I'm still alive at that time, probably I'll still have my old dolls. I never throw and randomly sell anything away so... My dolls are for life. :3

2. Uskotko että 80 vuoden päästä sinulla on edelleen Pullipeja?

- Um... 80 vuoden päästä... olen silloin jotain yli sata vuotta vanha... ^^;;; Jos olen silloin vielä elossa, niin varmaankin minulla on vielä vanhat nukkeni. En koskaan heitä mitään pois ja harvoin myyn joten... Nukkeni ovat minulla niin kauan kuin henki pihisee. :3

3. Take your pick: Earmuffs or a woollyhat?

- Though one. :-D
I'll have to say woollyhat even though I'm not much of a woollyhat-fan... Earmuffs aren't warm enough in the Finnish weather conditions, I'm afraid.

3. Korvaläpät vai tupsupipo?

- Hankala kysmys. :-D
Täytyy sanoa että tupsupipo vaikka en olekaan kauhea pipo-fani... Korvaläpät nyt vaan ei ole tarpeeksi lämpimät Suomen sääolosuhteisiin, pelkään pahoin.

4. Do you like snow?

- I depends.
When it's Christmas time, it's nice to have snow, it gives you the right feeling to the season. But I'd like the snow to melt pretty quickly after Christmas is over. To tell you the truth, I've always wished that the winter in Finland would be like winter in Britain is.

... or better yet; Winter would last only two months; December and January. After that the spring should begin. I hate cold and I'm not much of a winter-sports person.

But snow is pretty.

4. Pidätkö lumesta?

- Riippuu vähän.
Kun on joulunaika, on ihan kivaa että on lunta, siitä saa oikean joulufiiliksen. Mutta joulun jälkeen lumi saisi kyllä aikas nopsaan sulaa. Oikeastaan olen aina halunnut että Suomessa talvi olisi sellainen leuto kuin Englannissa.

8. Are you going to take a trip abroad anytime soon? Where?

- Not anytime soon, I think. Maybe in the spring... I haven't considered it yet. I've been wanting to go to London again for quite some time now, though.

We might take a family trip to Sweden around February to see the Stockholm Antiquities Fair but it's not decided yet.


8. Oletko menossa ulkomaille lähi-aikoina? Minne?

- Enpä ole ihan lähiaikoina. Ehkä keväällä sitten... En ole vielä pohtinut asiaa. Olen kyllä halunnut mennä taas Lontooseen jo pitkään.

Mennään kyllä ehkä perheen kanssa Ruotsiin joskus helmikuun tienoilla Tukholman antiikkimessuille mutta sitä ei ole vielä lukkoon lyöty.

9. Are you a bookworm?

- Since my room at my parents' house is filled with books and I love libraries and reading I have to say that that's a definite YES. Browsing book stores and finding new interesting books and authors is my stress-relief method. ;-D

 9. Oletko lukutoukka?

- Kun huoneeni vanhempie luona on lattiasta kattoon kirjoissa sekä rakastan kirjastoja ja lukemista niin täytyy varmaan sanoa tähän että KYLLÄ. Kirjakaupoissa haahuilu ja uusien kiintoisien kirjailijoiden ja opusten löytäminen on stressinlievityskeinoni. ;-D

10. What is you long-time and very impossible-to-get dreamdoll?

- I'd love to own one of (...or probably a couple of...) Volks's dolls. Volks was my first love among doll companies.

And not just any doll from any random seller. I'd like to order my_own_doll and go get him from one of Volks's awe-inpiring doll-shops is Japan, complete with the new doll Welcoming- ceremony (お迎え or the "Omukae"-ceremony that celebrates you coming to receive your new doll from Volks) and buy the special ceremony-clothing for my doll that can't be bought anywhere else and all.

Right now it seems like an impossible dream but who knows...

Also, I adore the Dollfie-Dream dolls but they are so damn expensive. I'd like a fullset Dollfie Dream, one that is modeled after an anime-character, and those are the most expensive ones and usually only sold for a limited period only and you have to win the right to buy one in a special lottery.
On eBay they cost a small fortune... Well,  if they weren't hard to get, what would there be to dream about? ;-)

10. Mikä on ikuinen & mahdoton nukkehaaveesi?

- Minusta olisi hienoa omistaa yksi (...tai useampia...) Volksin nukeista. Volks oli ensimmäinen nukkefirma-ihastukseni.

Mutta en haluaisi vaan mitä tahansa Volksin nukkea keneltä tahansa random myyjältä, vaan haluaisin tilata _iki_oman_nukkeni_suoraan Volksilta. Ja käydä hakemassa hänet Japanista yhdestä Volksin uskomattoman hienoista liikkeistä. Haluaisin oikein sen nuken tervetuliaisseremonian ja kaikki! (お迎え eli "omukae"-seremoniassa juhlistetaan sitä, kun uusi omistaja tulee noutamaan Volksilta uuden nukkensa kotiin ensimmäistä kertaa. Sekä haluaisin ostaa sen seremoniavaatekerran Volksilta sitä varten, mitä ei voi ostaa milloinkaan muulloin kuin omassa omukaessaan~ <3

Juuri nyt tuo tuntuu saavuttamattomalta unelmalta, mutta kukapa tietää...

Ihailen myöskin kovasti Dollfie Dream-nukkeja, mutta kun ne ovat niin himskutin kalliita. Haluaisin sellaisen Dollfie Dream fullsetin, joka on tehty jonkin animehahmon mukaan. NE ovat tietysti kaikkein kalliimpia, lukumäärät on rajoitettu, osto-oikeuden voit voittaa erityisissä arpajaisissa ja nukkeja myydään vain tietyn ajanjakson ajan kerrallaan...

Ebayssä jälkimyynneissä nämä nuket ovat järjestään pienen omaisuuden arvoisia... No mutta, toisaalta jos niitä ei olisi vaikea saada, niin mitä unelmoimistakaan sitten enää olisi jäljellä? :3

- Heavens, no! Being a human is the best possible lifeform I can think of at the moment... or am capable to think of.

I'd like to be as pretty as a doll though. ;3

- Taivahan talikynttilät, en! Ihmisenä oleminen on paras elämänmuoto, jonka pystyn kuvittelemaan tällä hetkellä... tai paras, jota olen kykenevä ajattelemaan.

...mutta haluaisin olla yhtä kaunis kuin nukke... ;3
