Percy (Pipos Cheesemouse) and Shade (Soom Carbon) were my traveling companions on a family trip to the island of Utö. Utö is the southernmost island in Finland that has inhabitants around the year. One of its main attractions is the lighthouse.

Percy ja Shade olivat matkakumppaneinani retkellä Utön saarelle. Utö on Suomen eteläisin saari, jossa on asukkaita ympärivuotisesti. Yksi Utön viehättävimmistä kohteista on sen majakka.
Tavallisesti matkailijat eivät pääse koko majakkatorniin, mutta olimme paikalla kansainvälisenä majakkapäivänä

It takes 4 hours to reach Utö from the island of Nauvo. It gets chilly at night at the sea so some coffee, ice cream and a little bit of sweet rhum come in good use at the ship's café.

Nauvon saarelta kestää Eivorilla noin nelisen tuntia Utölle, joten kahvi, jätski ja pieni tilkka makeaa rommia (vain aikuisille ;-) laivan kahvilassa tulevat hyvään tarpeeseen vilpoisassa meri-ilmastossa.

Although you can't really see it in all its glory from this murky pic, I can tell you that the beam of light from the lighthouse sweeping out over the island and to the dark vastness of the sea is truly a sight to behold!
The night walk on the island was the best experience of the trip.

Shade had to borrow Ayato's wig for the trip because her own was not
travel-convenient. Surprisingly, I think this look suits her so well, I might have to
start looking for a similarly styled hair of her own.
I hope that this doll-talk is not awfully disrespective of the shipwreck memorial in the background. ^^;;;

I just had to include this;
my cousin and a girlfriend who came along for the trip had found this Coke-bottle with my IRL-name on it and brought it as a gift for me!
There's been a campaign in Finland this summer with these namesake-bottles and as an avid Coca-Cola-lover (and addict!) I've been desperately searching for a bottle with my name on it, but with no luck. It's good to have kind relatives who think of you! :-)
