In the second part of my year-overview post of 2015 I'll write a little something about other things than dolls.

This year was an important year in my main fandoms, because it was the 10th anniversary of Nitro+Chiral. Chiral for short, it's my favorite visual novel studio, who has produced Togainu no Chi and DRAMAtical Murder.

Toisessa osassa vuoden 2015 muisteloitani kirjoitan hieman muista kuin nukkeihin liittyvistä asioista.
Tämä vuosi oli tärkeä vuosi minun tärkeimpien fanituksenkohteideni kannalta, koska tuli täyteen 10 vuotta siitä, kun Nitro+Chiral pelistudio perustettiin. Chiral on tehnyt Togainu no Chi- ja DRAMAtical Murder -visual novelit.

Uuuh, on niin paljon kerääntynyt juttuja jonoon joista haluan blogata... ja uusia bloggauksen aiheita vaan tulee kiihtyvällä, kuten aivan superhauska mini-nukkemiitti sunnuntaina, josta bloggaan sitten seuraavaksi! (voitte tosin kurkata miitin tapahtumia Safirin blogista!<3) Onneksi minulla on tämä viikko vapaata (vaikkakin tiistaina on pieni juttu joka pitää hoitaa mutta joo).

Winter Wonderfest Euphoria also known as ASDFG AAAAAAA IT'S NENDOROID KOUJAKU AAAAAAAAAA!!! *heavy breathing*

Last weekend there was a huge figure event in Japan called Wonderfest where the figure companies announce new releases and showcase prototypes of new figures to come.

YES! YESSS!!! THERE IS JUSTICE IN THIS WORLD AFTER ALL!!! a-hem, I mean, to me, the most important release that outshines everything else at WonFes this year is Nendoroid Koujaku and Beni! (By the way, if you haven't noticed, this is the same character that my custom Taeyang Koujaku is made after). A must have that I've been pining for ever since Nendoroid Aoba was announced. I'll get at least three. ;-P

It paid off to send Good Smile Company requests to make Nendoroid Koujaku next, woohoo! ;) Now, to pester them about that 1/7-scale Koujaku figure, hehehehe...

Viime viikonloppuna oli Japanissa suuri figuuritapahtuma, Wonderfest, jossa figuurifirmat julkistavat uusia julkaisuja ja esittelevät prototyyppejä eli malleja tulevista figuureista.

JES! JEEESSSSS!!! TÄSSÄ MAAILMASSA ON SITTENKIN VIELÄ OIKEUDENMUKAISUUTTA JÄLJELLÄ!!! ö-höm, siis; minulle kaikkein tärkein julkaisu joka jättikin sitten varjoonsa kaikki muut on Nendoroid Koujaku ja Beni! (ihan BTW jos joku ei havainnollistanut niin tämä on sama hahmo, jonka mukaan custom Taeyang Koujakuni on tehty). Ihan must-have figuuri, jota olen kaivannut aina siitä hetkestä lähtien kun Nendoroid Aoban julkaisusta tiedotettiin. Hommaan ainakin kolme Koujakua. ;-P

Haluan ajatella että siitä oli hyötyä, kun lähetin Good Smile Companylle pyynnön tehdä Nendoroid Koujaku seuraavaksi, juhuu! ;)
Seuraavaksi pitää sitten häiriköidä heitä pyynnöillä 1/7-scale Koujaku-figuuria tekemään, hehehehehehe...

I spent the New Year's Eve at my friends' place and they had received gifts from Japan. I had to photograph that kagamimochi, a traditional Japanese New Year's decoration.
Sorry about the crooked picture... this is the best I can do with photography on New Year's Eve if you know what I mean. ;)

Olin ystävien luona uudenvuoden aattona ja he olivat saaneet lahjoja Japanista. Oli pakko ottaa kuva tuosta suloisesta kagamimochista, joka on siis traditonaalinen japanilainen uuden vuoden koriste.
Anteeksi vinkurasta kuvasta... tässä mihin minun kuvauskykyni yltävät uudenvuoden aattona, jos ymmärrätte mitä tarkoitan. ;)

My first Nendoroid from a while back and my newest Figma! Just random something to "celebrate" my name day which is today according to the Finnish calendar! Although namedays that we celebrate in Europe (or I believe it is nowadays more of a Scandinavian custom?) originated in the calendar of saints, I think my real name is more of a pagan origin. Ironically it means blue in Finnish.

Ja sinisyys-teema senkun jatkuu, tosin pienellä väliaikapläjäyksellä Soom Lucky-kuviin. Ensimmäinen Nendoroidini muutaman vuoden takaa ja uusin Figmani! Jotakin randomia vaan nimipäiväni kunniaksi! :3

Yle muuten oli julkistanut ilmeisesti viime perjantain (?) leluperjantaiksi ja kuuluttanut aikuisia ottamaan itsestään kuvia lelujen kanssa. Harmi kun tällaisesta en aiemmin tiennyt, vaikka en suuri selfie-fani olekaan niin leluperjantaita olisi silti voinut juhlistaa. Ylen tiede-sivuilla on juttua aiheesta aikuisten leikkiminen ja Yle Areenassa taitaa olla vielä nähtävillä aiheeseen liittyvä Prisma Studio-dokumentti, joka tuli tänään televisiosta.

Incoming stuff...

I joined Fyrd's order to TaoBao and as I didn't find any stuff for my dolls that I would have wanted, I ventured on browsing what else they had to offer. And naturally I started to look for some cosplay-items...
I'm thinking of putting together a casual-Aoba cosplay for Tracon this September so if these items I purchased will turn out to be OK, I think I'll try that out. :3 I'm *really* iffy about that wig, though.

Sure it looks fine on the pictures and it was one of the more costly ones (although still cheap as almost everything on Taobao is), but it might look awful in reality... So if anything, the quality and look of the wig will make or break my plan for my casual-Aoba cosplay. :) I already have pants that I think will work for the role and some accessories.

Osallistuin Fyrdin TaoBao-tilaukseen ja koska en tällä kertaa oikein ottanut löytääkseni mitään kivaa nukeille, tutkiskelin vähän mitä muuta kivaa siellä olisi tarjolla. Ja sitten tietysti eksyin katsomaan cosplay-tuotteita...

Nyt sitten innostuin suunnittelemaan casual-Aoba cosplayta Traconiin syyskuussa. Joten jos nää tilaamani tavarat osoittautuvat olevan ihan OK näköisiä, niin kokeilen sitä. :3 Suhtaudun kyllä *todella* varauksella tuon peruukin todelliseen olemukseen. No kyllähän se kuvissa näyttää ihan suht hyvältä, ja se oli yksi niistä vähän hintavammista yksilöistä (vaikkakin silti halpa kuten melkein kaikki TaoBaossa), mutta se voi olla ihan hirveä takkukasa todellisuudessa...
Joten peruukin laatu ja ulkonäkö jos mikä saattavat nostaa tai kaataa aikeeni casual Aoba-cossiin. Minulla onkin jo osaan sopivat housut sekä joitain pikkuasusteita.

Wonder Festival or WonFes (ワンフェス ) for short is an event held twice a year that gets all figure-hobbyists everywhere excited. Why, you ask? Because that's when the figure companies introduce what new figures they have in the making and parade the prototypes of new figures waiting to be released.

Janina in her blog Puchi Puchi Pop already revealed her favorites from the upcoming figures and I wanted to show you in my turn what will keep me high on PVC-fumes next year! ^3^

Wonder Festival tai tuttavallisemmin WonFes on tapahtuma joka pidetään kahdesti vuodessa ja joka saa kaikki figuurikeräilijät jokapuolella ihan pähkinöiksi. Miksi, kysytte ehkä. No, koska siellä figuurivalmistajat julkistavat mitä uusia figuureja heillä on valmisteilla sekä ylpeilevät uusien julkaisua odottavien figuurien prototyypeillä.

Janina Puchi Puchi Pop-blogissa esitteli omia suosikkejaan tulevista figuureista ja minäkin halusin vuorollani päästä hehkuttamaan mitä kaikkea ihanaa sieltä tulee ja mitkä jutut pitävät aivoni pehmeinä PVC-huuruista ensi vuonna! ^3^

On the corner of one of the pages I found the name of this manga; Chimamire Sukeban Chainsaw. I have to say that it is not often that the packing-material distracts me from checking out the stuff I ordered for this long!

I'm really thrilled that Nendoroid Itoshiki Nozomu (from the manga and anime-series Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei! Itoshiki Nozomu is the protagonist of the show and is a pessimistic teacher) was re-released because the original release from 2009 has long been sold out and was one of the most sought-after Nendoroids.

Olen tosi iloissani siitä että Nendoroid Itoshiki Nozomu (manga ja anime-sarjasta Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei! Itoshiki Nozomu on sarjan päähenkilö, erittäin pessimistinen opettaja) julkaistiin uudelleen, koska alkuperäinen julkaisu vuodelta 2009 on ollut pitkään loppuunmyyty ja hinnat jälkimarkkinoilla ovat olleet tosi korkealla, koska kyseessä on yksi halutuimmista Nendoista.

Here's a comparison picture of the old and new head parts. As you can see they have added a bonus part that connects the neck and the back part of the head where as in the older versions the face part was connected straight to the neck-plug.

I read in a Good Smile company blog somewhere that they have actually done this to improve the balance of the Nendoroids, making the head a little smaller and renewed the Nendoroid joints. One wonders if the old and new faceparts are still interchangeable between Nendoroids...

I've yet to try if that new part comes off from the back of the head and if it fits the old head parts.

Tässä vertailukuva uudesta ja vanhasta pääosasta. Kuten kuvasta näkyy, pään takaosaan on lisätty boonus osa joka liittää pään kaulaan. Vanhassa versiossa puolestaan kaula-nivel on kasvo-osassa kiinni.

Luin jostakin Good Smile Companyn blogista, että tämä on tehty jotta Nendoroidien tasapaino olisi parempi, samalla päätä on hieman pienennetty ja Nendoroidien nivel-osia uudistettu. Mietityttää hieman ovatko vanhat ja uudet pääosat enää vaihdettavissa keskenään...

En siis ole vielä kokeillut lähteekö tuo uusi osa pois pään takaosasta ja mahtuuko se vanhoihin päihin kiinni.

((Spica: I don't really know anything about Faris other than that she works at a moe café, but I liked the character design. However, Steins; Gate the anime series and the visual novel that she's from seems like a possible new favorite~ And as Nitroplus - my favorite visual novel company - is one of the creators of the game I think I'd love it.))

It's challenge accepting time again! I got two challenges from Janina in Puchi Puchi Pop and from Turre in her blog almost at the same time so I'll answer to both of them in the same post. :3

This is how it goes; Tell us 10 random things about yourself, then answer the questions of the blogger who challenged you.
Finally, come up with 10 new questions for bloggers you are going to challenge in return.

10 Random Things about Me:

1. I think it would be the bestest thing ever if we humans had tails as well. <3 If they ever invent a way to attach a tail-implant to a human being, I'll get one as soon as possible.

2. I quess people don't see me very threatening because I seem to be a rather easily approachable person. Complete strangers often come to chat with me.


3. I love theatre and performing arts. I went to see Cirque Dracula - the vampire variety show in Turku last Saturday. It was held in a spiegeltent - a mirror tent from the 19th century Belgium. The show was breath-taking, not to mention the wonderful spiegeltent!

4. Sometimes I regret that I didn't pursue my dream to become a professional animator.

5. At the moment I'm really addicted to a milk drink called Power Cow. It comes in strawberry, chocolate and banana flavours! All of them are delicious! And very artificial-tasting! I love artificial flavours! You should try it too!

6.  Last week the busdriver-guy asked me if I wanted a ticket for adults or for children. O___O

7. I love my eyeglasses! I'd never go to a vision-correction surgery if it wasn't absolutely necessary due to professional reasons or something like that.

8. Halloween is one of the culmination points of the year. I'm of the opinion that it should be added and included perpetually in the holiday traditions here in Finland.

9. I discovered the joys of swimming once again this summer! I swam at least once a day, more than I have in many, many years!

10. Fun thing about autumn - the jellyfish come out and it's fun to spot them in the sea! ^3^

Sain taas jänniä haasteita, tällä kertaa kaksin kappalein Janinalta Puchi Puchi Pop-blogista ja Turrelta Tursaan puutarha-blogista. Vastaan molempiin tässä samassa postauksessa. :3

Idea: kerro 10 asiaa itsestäsi, sitten vastaa haastajan antamiin kysymyksiin ja lopuksi keksi omat 10 kysymystä seuraaville bloggareille, jotka haastat tekemään saman.

10 asiaa minusta:

1. Minusta olisi ihan parasta, jos ihmisillä olisi häntä. <3 Jos tulevaisuudessa on mahdollista saada häntäimplantti, hankin sellaisen heti.

2. Olen ilmeisesti jotenkin helposti lähestyttävä tai en kovinkaan pelottavan oloinen tyyppi, koska usein random ventovieraat ihmiset tulevat juttelemaan minulle kaikkea.

3. Rakastan teatteria ja kaikenlaista performanssitaidetta. Kävin viime lauantaina katsomassa viimeisessä näytöksessä Cirque Dracula -vampyyrivarieteen 1800-luvulta olevassa belgialaisessa spiegeltent -peiliteltassa. Oli aivan mahtava esitys ja ennenkaikkea esityspaikka! tosin olisin toivonut esitykseltä enemmän kauhuelementtejä.

4. Toisinaan minua harmittaa etten toteuttanut haluani kouluttautua ammattimaiseksi animaattoriksi.

5. Tällä hetkellä minulla on kova addiktio Arla Power Cow maitojuomiin (mansikka, suklaa ja banaani! Kaikki yhtä hyviä! Ja esanssisia! Rakastan esanssia! Maistakaa ihmeessä!).

6. Viime viikolla bussikuskisetä kysyi minulta, tuleeko minulle aikuisten vai lasten lippu. O__O

7. Rakastan silmälaseja. En koskaan aio mennä korjauttamaan näköäni leikkauksella ellei ole jotain ammatillista tms. pakotetta.

8. Halloween on minusta yksi vuoden kohokohdista. Olen niitä joiden mielestä se saisi jäädä Suomen juhlaperinteeseen pysyvästi.

9. Löysin tänä kesänä uimisen uudelleen, kävin uimassa melkein joka päivä kesällä, enemmän kuin moniin vuosiin!

1. Your favorite band or music? 
- Electro. There are a lot of good bands and artists but Massive Attack and Susumu Hirasawa make music that I especially love.
Also; DRAMAtical Murder soundtrack and Goat Bed's OP/ED themes in the game.

- Ehdottomasti electro, konemusiikki. Hyviä bändejä/artisteja löytyy paljon mutta Massive Attack ja Susumu Hirasawa tekevät juttuja joista tykkään hirmuisesti. Vaikea sanoa sitä ihan kaikkein parasta. >3<

8. What's the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
- AAAA, what should I choose from _all_the embarrassing things to have happened to me...

Well, I'll tell you one that happened this summer. I'm a foot-in-mouth type of person so mostly all the embarrassing stuff that happens to me is caused by my own blabbering.
I asked a nice old granny if a certain place was haunted. Silly me, I thought that she would be happy that someone tried to make a conversation with her. Grannies usually like to tell stories, you know.

Well, this granny wasn't happy at all. "Of course there are no ghosts here! What on earth are you thinking?!", she said angrily. So I went and made a nice old lady mad. >__<;;

(...later on when I had recovered from my embarrasment a bit, I thought that maybe I touched a sore spot there. Maybe there WERE ghosts and she didn't want to discuss the matter...)

8. Mitä on nolointa mitä sinulle on sattunut?
- AAAA, mikä niistä _kaikista_ jutuista nyt olisi nolointa...
No kerrotaan nolo juttu joka tapahtui kesällä. Olen kova puhumaan ennen kuin ajattelen, siksi usein minulle sattuvat nolot jutut liittyvät omiin hölötyksiini. Kysyin eräältä ruotsinkieliseltä mummolta, kummitteliko eräässä paikassa. Suuresti rohkeuteni keräten ruotsiksi. Luulin vielä että mummo ilahtuisi kun hänen kanssaan jutustellaan. Mummothan yleensä tykkäävät kun joku kyselee tällaisista tarinajutuista ja muista.

No tämä mummo ei ilahtunut. Vastaus oli "Naturligtvis finns det inga spöken här! Vad hittar du på?!" Kaiken lisäksi paikalla olleen seurueen kaikki muut tykkäsivät kovasti herttaisen oloisesta mummosta. Tottakai ainoastaan minä onnistuin sitten suututtamaan mummon... >__<;;

(myöhemmin tosin kun olin hiukan toipunut nolostumisestani, tuli mieleen että ehkä olin osunutkin arkaan paikkaan, ehkä siellä OLI kummituksia ja mummeli ei vain halunnut puhua asiasta...)

9. What would you like the future to hold for you?
- That I'd work full-time in some nice Evangelist-Lutheran congregation, maybe doing some freelance illustration jobs on the side and publish a comic or two. I'd have a lovely pet dog and lead a normal, healthy life. And that my family and my friends would have happy lives too.

9. Mitä haluat tulevaisuudelta?
- Että olisin töissä jossain kivassa seurakunnassa, tehden välillä freelance kuvitustöitä sekä julkaisisin omaa sarjakuvaa. Minulla olisi ihana koiruus lemmikkinä, elelisin tyytyväisenä melko normaalia elämää terveenä. Ja että kaikilla ystävillä ja perheellä menisi hyvin.

- I try to, if I remember. I should get a different one for each coat I own. I like childish, colorful reflectors, in the shapes of funny animals and the like.

- I sure am. I missed all the conventions during summer/autumn so I must at least go to Frosty. ;__;

- My autumn holiday is coming. I've already booked a hotelroom in Hamburg, Germany. I really truly only feel home and at ease in Hamburg.

- Syysloma on tulossa. Hampuriin olisi tarkoitus mennä ihan vaan hengailemaan, varasin juuri hotellihuoneen. Tunnen henkisesti olevani kotona Hampurissa.

9. What kind of a doll photograph do you dream of taking? 
- What an excellent question!
Actually I have two photography-aspirations; one of them is a cyberpunk-inspired pic, with lots of neonlights, cables and metallic things in the background. The doll in question would be clothed in futuristic garments. I'm thinking of one of my android-characters, Radu or Wolfram.

The other dream-photo would be styled in a neo-victorian style, with steampunkish hindnotes, lots of antique props and shades of sepia. I'd like to take this kind of a photo of Xavier and Bram in a steampunk-setting.

9. Millaisesta nukkekuvasta haaveilet tai mihin etsit sopivaa paikkaa/valoa tai jotain muuta?
- Mahtava kysymys! Oikeastaan minulla on kaksi haavetta; toinen olisi sellainen cyberpunk-henkinen jossa olisi paljon neonvaloja, johtoja ja metallia, ja nukke olisi futuristisissa vaatteissa. Todennäköisesti jostakin androidihahmostani, Radusta tai Wolframista tämä kuva.

Toinen kuvahaave olisi neoviktoriaanisteemainen, steampunkahtava, jossa olisi paljon antiikkirekvisiittaa ja ruskean sävyjä. Esim. Xavierista ja Bramista yhteiskuva steampunk-asetelmassa.

- Um... my pet gerbil died today of old age. So I'm a bit sad, actually. :'c
But she had a good long life for a gerbil, and I'm grateful to her for being my pet. I loved her very much, and I have only the bestest of memories of her. <3

Treasure Thursdays 03 - Stockholm Shoppinghaul!

This time I'll show you the stuff I bought during the Stockholm-trip, in words and pictures. New things can count as treasures too, right? :3

First we have the magazines. I had a hard time choosing, but then I decided on KERA, Cosmode and Gothic Lolita Bible. Age-wise I might not belong to the target audience of KERA, a street style magazine for Japanese teens, but I still enjoy looking at the extravagant dressing styles and maybe snatch some inspiration to assimilate something in my own style while I'm at it.

I bought Gothic Lolita Bible mainly because of the bunny-girl illustration on the cover... I do love lolita-style but I might feel a bit uncomfortable wearing it myself. But who knows.

Cosmode was an impulse-buy. I haven't cosplayed in a long while but I'd like to make a costume for the next con I'll attend (probably Desucon Frostbite 2014). So I picked this magazine for inspiration as well.

Tällä kertaa esittelen sanoin ja kuvin juttuja joita ostin Tukholman matkalla. Eikös niin että uudetkin asiat voidaan laskea aarteiksi? :3

Ensimmäisenä lehdet. Pohdin pitkään mitkä valitsisin sieltä hyllystä, mutta sitten päädyin KERAan, Cosmodeen ja Gothic Lolita Bibleen. Iältäni en ehkä ole KERAn kohdeyleisöä (lehti siis keskittyy japanilaisten teinien katumuotiin), mutta tykkään silti katsella näyttäviä asuja ja lueskella juttuja(tässä numerossa oli erityisesti hauska kummitusjuttupalsta lukijoilta.) sekä ehkä saada inspiraatiota ja sulauttaa jotakin omaankin tyyliin.

Gothic Lolita Biblen ostin pääasiallisesti hienon puputyttökansikuvan vuoksi. Pidän kyllä lolita-tyylistä mutta ehkä tuntisin oloni hieman kummalliseksi jos itse pukeutuisin täysin siihen. Mutta kukapa tietää.

Cosmode oli heräteostos, en ole cossannut aikoihin, mutta olisi kiva tehdä jokin asu seuraavaan coniin (joka olisi varmaankin Desucon Frostbite 2014). Joten nappasin tämänkin lehden inspiraatiota etsiäkseni.

Cosmode had pictures of japanese cosplayers and some tips and patterns for costumes too. I found loads of cosplayers dressing up as some of my favorite characters in this magazine which was a nice surprise! I'll show you some of the pics that caught my eye.

Here we have Aoba, Sei, Virus and Trip from Nitro+Chiral's newest visual novel DRAMAtical Murder!(too bad they didn't have a Koujaku among them... ;__; ) I'm very much into (and have been for the latest year or so) DMMd at the moment if you haven't noticed it. ;-D

I'd really like to cosplay Aoba (the blue-haired one in the middle, for those who don't know) sometime, but his jacket looks like a lot of work...

Cosmodessa on kuvia japanilaisista cossaajista sekä vinkkejä ja joitakin kaavoja asuihin myöskin. Löysin useita kuvia lempparihahmojani cossaavista ihmisistä tästä lehdestä, mikä oli kiva yllätys! Näytän joitakin kuvia lehdestä teille, joista erityisesti tykkäsin.

Tässä meillä onkin Aoba, Sei, Virus ja Trip Nitro+Chiralin uusimmasta visual novelista DRAMAtical Murderista! (harmi kun ei ollut Koujakua mukana... ;__; ) Olen tällä hetkellä tosi innoissani (ja olen ollut jo ainakin yli vuoden tai niillä main) DMMd:sta mikäli ette ole huomanneet. ;-D

Haluaisin cossata Aobaa (sinihiuksinen tyyppi keskellä jos et tiennyt) joskus mutta tuo takki vaikuttaa hankalasti toteutettavalta...

Makoto Mita from Nitro+Chiral's visual novel Sweet Pool. Sweet Pool seemed to be pretty popular among the cosplayers in this magazine. There were a few other pics of Sweet Pool characters. Too bad I didn't spot any pics Togainu no Chi cosplayers... :<

...however they had some official Togainu no Chi costumes licensed by Nitro+Chiral  for sale! I'd be more than happy to get an Akira-jacket like that. ^3^

Some (mostly western) people don't appreciate cosplayers who buy their costumes ready-made. But if the maker of the original work has licensed and approved the ready-made costumes, and even had some say as to what kind of designs the costumes should have, I think that might be even more accurate character-and-fan-wise to buy a costume like this.

I believe they used to have these costumes on Nitro+Chiral's own online-store as well...

Jotkut (enimmäkseen kai länsimaiset) ihmiset eivät arvosta cossaajia, jotka ostavat asunsa valmiina. Mutta; jos alkuperäisteoksen tekijät ovat lisensoineet ja hyväksyneet valmiit asut sekä ovat ehkä jopa vaikuttaneet asujen designiin, minusta olisi ehkä jopa osuvampaa fani- ja hahmo-kohtaisesti jos ostaisi tällaisen asun.

Muistaakseni näitä myytiin jossain vaiheessa myös Nitro+Chiralin omassa nettikaupassa...

Moving on to other purchases. The rest of the japanese volumes 14, 15 and 16 of Kuroshitsuji or Black Butler that I was missing from my collection, a Nyanko-sensei kaoridama (scented beads) holder and a couple of Vocaloid Senbonzakura figures, Miku and Rin.

Siirrytään sitten eteenpäin muihin ostoksiin. Loput minulta puuttuneet osat Kuroshitsujista eli Black Butlerista japaniksi. Nyanko-sensei kaoridama eli tuoksupallopidikepehmolelu (heh) ja senbonzakura Miku ja Rin figut.

Close-ups! I picked the senbonzakura figures in a hurry and mistook these as blindboxes. So I accidentally bought two Rins. Meh, I would have wanted a Len too. :'c Oh well, the dobbelganger Rin found a new home at my friend's place.

Note to self - a figure in a box doesn't always equal a blindbox figure.

Lähikuvia! Nappasin senbonzakura figut mukaan kiireessä ja erehdyin luulemaan näitä blindbox-julkaisuiksi. Joten mukaan tuli vahingossa kaksi Riniä. Meh, olisin halunnut myö Lenin. :'c No, ei voi mitään, onneksi dobbelganger-Rin sai hyvän kodin ystäväni luota.

More vocaloid-stuff! Oh, I bought this magazine as well; Miku Pack 02. I have yet to read all of it, but it consists mostly of introduction articles of new vocaloid songs, mods etc. And pretty pics of course. And a Senbonzakura article! And a mini album Natsu Fuku Song Collection.

Kanna Tanigawa-Nendoroid! I'm not familiar with the show or the character but she was just too cute to resist, with the cat ears and all! I'm planning on using her as a "base" to create my own original character by combining parts from different Nendoroids. :3

Picture books are among the various things I collect, obviously.

The illustrations of The Witch in The Forest are beautifully surreal, symbolistic even. I think this book is more oriented to adults than to children.

Metsän noidan kuvitus on kauniin surrealistista, jopa symbolistista. Luulenpa että tämä kirja on suunnattu enemmän aikuisille kuin lapsille.

Mr. Stickman's Adventure is... a strange book to say the least. The main character is a personificated wooden stick. What in the world...?
Oh well, it's a good thing I prefer my world with a touch of strangeness. As such, it was impossible for me to pass this one. ;''D

A 1960's Dog calender. With name days for dogs. I consider this somewhat of a curiosity, since I think it would have been unimaginable for us here in Finland to have had a name day calendar for dogs in the 60's.

We do have those now, but it's a rather recent thing I believe.

Koirakalenteri 1960-luvulta. Jossa on nimipäivät. Koirille. Minusta tämä on vähän kuriositeetti, koska luulen että Suomessa ei olisi ollut mitään saumaa koirien nimipäiväkalenterille 60-luvulla.

Onhan sellaisia nyt mutta se taitaa olla Suomessa verrattain uusi juttu.
