Some Persona obsessiveness...

Meh. I haven't felt at all doll-y or blog-gy lately. Just been concentrating on The Real Life Stuff. And games of course!

I got the Japanese version of Persona 4 Dancing All Night for PlayStation Vita some time before Christmas, but only now, after falling ill with the flu have I had the time to really get into it! This game had just come out in Japan when we were there last summer and it was advertised everywhere in Akiba, so feeling a bit nostalgic with it too.

Meh. Ei ole lähiaikoina hirveästi "nukkeiluttanut" eikä blogittanut. Joten olen lähinnä keskittynyt IRL juttuihin. Ja peleihin tietysti!

Sain Persona 4 Dancing All Night-pelin PlayStation Vitalle jokin aika ennen joulua, mutta vasta nyt sairasteltuani olen ehtinyt kunnolla käymään sen kimppuun! Japaninmatkamme aikaan tämä peli oli juuri julkaistu ja sen mainoksia näkyi jokapuolella Akibassa, joten pääsin kokemaan vähän nostalgisia fiiliksiä tämän kanssa myös.

I've always loved toys. Well, I have to admit that when I was a teenager, there was a period of time when my toy-enthusiasm was on hold. That's when I packed away my My Little Ponies to be stored in the attic of our summer house. But that phase passed quickly (as it had more to do about "fitting in" with other junior highschoolers and less about what I really wanted to do and think) and I've let myself enjoy toys to my heart's content. The Ponies are allowed back in my life, not hidden away.

If it wasn't for my love for toys, I think I never would have gotten into the ball jointed doll hobby either. I know many BJD owners shun the word "toy" or "playing" when it comes resin dolls. But I think those words are not to be thought of as "down-grading".

I might add that BJDs aren't necessarily toys for children. They are works of art, but who says toys can't also be art? And I don't know about other people, but I get the same sense of excitement when photographing my dolls or coming up with their stories and characters as I did taking my Playmobils and My Little Ponies on adventures when I was little.

I've been meaning to blog more actively about toys and my... rather random ways of toy-collecting. I'm starting like right now. :)

Tekeekö mieli teetä?
Otapa kupillinen ja jutustellaan vähän leluista!

Olen aina rakastanut leluja. Vaikkakin, täytyy kyllä myöntää että teini-ikäsenä minullakin oli vaihe, jolloin leluharrastus oli tauolla. Silloin My Little Ponyt pakattiin talteen kesämökin ullakolle. Mutta onneksi se vaihe meni nopeasti ohitse (koska siinä oli enemmän kyse siitä, että yritin sopeutua olemaan kuten muut yläastelaiset, kuin siitä mitä oikeasti halusin ajatella ja tehdä) ja olen antanut itselleni luvan nauttia leluista sydämeni kyllyydestä. Ponitkin pääsivät takaisin elämääni eikä niitä tarvinnut enää piilotella.

Jos en olisi ollut jo valmiiksi innostunut leluista, en varmaan koskaan olisi alkanut harrastaa BJD-nukkejakaan. Tiedän, että monet BJD-harrastajat eivät oikein pidä sanoista "lelu" tai "leikkiminen" hartsinukkien yhteydessä. Mutta minusta noita sanoja ei tarvitse pitää vähättelevinä.

Voisin lisätä, että BJDt eivät välttämättä ole lasten leluja. BJDt ovat taide-esineitä, mutta kuka sanoo ettei lelu voisi olla taidetta? En tiedä muista, mutta itse saan ainakin miltei samanlaiset fiilikset BJDiden kuvaamisesta ja nukkehahmojen kehittelystä kuin aikanaan pienenä keksiessäni seikkailuja Playmobileilleni ja My Little Ponyilleni.

Olen pohtinut että voisin kirjoittaa blogiin enemmän leluista ja myös... hiukan sattumanvaraisista tavoistani harjoittaa lelukeräilyä. Ajattelin aloittaa juuri nyt. :)

Olin ystävien luona uudenvuoden aattona ja he olivat saaneet lahjoja Japanista. Oli pakko ottaa kuva tuosta suloisesta kagamimochista, joka on siis traditonaalinen japanilainen uuden vuoden koriste.
Anteeksi vinkurasta kuvasta... tässä mihin minun kuvauskykyni yltävät uudenvuoden aattona, jos ymmärrätte mitä tarkoitan. ;)

Door 12 comes one day late, my apologies! Have a pizza-guard dog to compensate!

We're pretty busy with Christmas clean-up so today it was frozen pizza from the supermarket for dinner. And you can see that I'm very weak-willed when someone bearing a slight resemblance to a husky/spitz-type dog with adorable derpy eyes peeks at me from the toy-shelves. x3

I collect brand stuffed animals for collectors but I just love cheap and funny-looking no-name toys as well. Although, I just don't buy stuff at random. The toy needs to "speak to me" in some way. ;) In this case it was the expression and the coloring on this doggy. You rarely see a brown husky stuffed toy and his eyes reminded me a bit of a bootleg Ginga Nagareboshi Gin -soft toy...

Also, he was cheap. And I needed someone to guard our pizzas.

12. luukku tulee ikävä kyllä nyt päivän jäljessä! Ottakaa pizzavahtikoira laihaksi (?) lohduksi.

Tällä hetkellä joulusiivoukset on täydessä käynnissä joten päivälliseksi oli pakastepizzaa. Kuten kuvasta näkyy, lankean todella helposti jos jokin etäisesti huskyä/pystykorvaa muistuttava tuijottaa minua karsastavilla silmillään leluhyllyltä anovasti. x3

Ostan keräilijöille suunniteltuja merkki-pehmoleluja, mutta toisaalta rakastan myös näitä halpoja ja hupsunnäköisiä no-name leluja myöskin. En tietenkään randomilla osta vaan mitä tahansa juttuja vaa lelun pitää jollain tasolla "puhutella minua" että haluan sen omakseni. ;) Tässä tapauksessa ilme ja koirun väritys voittivat minut puolelleen. Harvemmin näkee ruskeita husky-pehmoja ja sen silmät toivat mieleeni etäisesti feikki-Hopeanuoli-pehmolelun...

Myöskin, koiruliini oli halpa ja tarvitsin pizzavahdin.

Advent Calendar door 04 - Kidult shopping tour!

During the Christmas season it's fun to visit toy shops and toy-aisles at supermarkets because the shelves are full of new items and refills are brought in frequently. Today I went for some Christmas shopping, but ended up buying something for myself instead. This one is for my Pikachu-collection.

I've been able to avoid all these different games (Skylanders, Disney Infinity etc.) with little figurines that turn out to be playable characters in the game. But Pikachu was too much for me to resist. I'm still not going to buy the game. I don't even have a WiiU, nor do I intend to buy one. I just wanted that Pikachu.

Joulun alla on kiva käydä lelukaupoissa ja leluosastoilla, koska hyllyt ovat pullollaan uutuuksia ja lisää tavaraa tuodaan täydennykseksi useasti. Tänään menin vähän jouluostoksille, mutta päädyinkin (taas!) ostamaan jotain itselleni. Tämä tulee Pikachu-kokoelmaani.

Olen tähän asti onnistunut pidättäytymään näistä erilaisista peleistä (Skylanders, Disney Infinity jne.) joissa figuurin ostettuasi saat sen esittämän hahmon peliisi pelattavaksi. I just love Halloween and all those spooky things that go bump in the night! This year I chose these little guys to deliver you mischievous tidings for All Hallow's Eve~

I've seen these little figurines in the photofeeds of fellow toy collectors in Flickr and I've always wondered what they are. Now the secret has been revealed! It's a japanese toy line called SonnyAngel and they have an official website in english if you're hungry for more information.
Basically he's just a little angel boy who likes to dress up in funny hats and costumes to cheer you up! I just couldn't resist this Halloween 2014 series so I got the whole lot of them... (didn't get the secret figure though, bummer!).

Minä sitten rakastan Halloweenia ja kaikkia pelottavia yössä hiiluvia kummajaisia (heh tämäpä kuulosti erikoiselta...). Tänä vuonna valitsin nämä pikku kaverit välittämään pyhäinpäivän toivotuksia teille~

Olen nähnyt näitä pikkufiguureja Flickrissa toisten keräilijöiden kuvissa ja aina ihmetellyt että mitä ne oikein ovat. Nyt salaisuus on paljastunut! Kyseessä on japanilainen lelusarja Sonny Angel ja heillä on myös nettisivut englanniksi jos olet tiedonjanoinen aiheesta.
Sonny Angel on pieni enkelipoika, joka tykkää pukeutua hauskoihin hattuihin ja asuihin ihmisiä viihdyttääkseen ja kannustaakseen! En sitten pystynyt vastustamaan näitä Halloween 2014-versioita vaan lähtivät meille koko sakki... (mutta en saanut secret-hahmoa, snif snif!).

Wonder Festival tai tuttavallisemmin WonFes on tapahtuma joka pidetään kahdesti vuodessa ja joka saa kaikki figuurikeräilijät jokapuolella ihan pähkinöiksi. Miksi, kysytte ehkä. No, koska siellä figuurivalmistajat julkistavat mitä uusia figuureja heillä on valmisteilla sekä ylpeilevät uusien julkaisua odottavien figuurien prototyypeillä.

Treasure Thursdays - A Fragile Shepherd

This time I'll introduce you to an example from my porcelain animal collection. For most people, the word "porcelain figurine" brings something cheap and tasteless to mind. However, this is not the case with the figurines I'm collecting. (well, whether or not they are in good taste depends on your subjective opinion ;-).

The figurines I'm mostly interested in are manufactured by renowned Central-European factories, mostly the danish Royal Copenhagen and  Bing & Grøndahl (which merged with Royal Copenhagen in 1987).

I don't blindly collect everything from them, though, like some collectors do. Only the ones that speak to me, that I really want to look at.

Tällä kertaa vuorossa yksi esimerkki posliinieläinkokoelmistani. Useimmille ihmisille tulee sanasta "posliinifiguuri" jotakin halpaa ja mautonta suoraan Tiimarista. Nämä keräilemäni posliinieläimet eivät kuitenkaan kuulu siihen ryhmään (vaikka, no, jokainenhan itse omasta subjektiivisesta näkemyksestään käsin määrittelee sen, mikä edustaa hyvää makua ja mikä ei ;-)

Figuurit joista enimmäkseen olen kiinnostunut ovat tunnettujen Keski-Eurooppalaisten tehtaiden tuotteita, useimmin royal Copenhagenin ja Bing & Grøndahlin (joka kylläkin yhdistyi Royal Copenhagen kanssa 1987).

En tosin sokeasti keräile kaikkea mahdollista näiden valmistamaa kuten jotkut keräilijät. Vain sellaisia yksilöitä jotka puhuttelevat minua, joita todella haluan katsella.

This particular figure is from Bing & Grøndahl. I'm unable to date him since the factory hallmark is different from any of the ones I've seen in Bing & Grøndahl product guides , but I'm quessing he's from around 1920-30-40's? Not a 100% sure though.

I spotted him a couple of years ago at the Antiquities Fair held in Stockholm, Sweden. and was immediately captivated by the dynamic pose.
Usually figurines are sculpted in harmonious manner, it is not often that you see a figurine with an alarmed or even an aggressive posture.

This dog seems rather agitated though.

Tämä nimenomainen figuuri on Bing & Grøndahlin valmistama. En ole onnistunut todentamaan milloin se on valmistettu, koska tehtaan leima on hieman erilainen kuin ne, joita olen nähnyt Bing & Grøndahl tuoteoppaissa, mutta arvelisin sen sijoittuvan johonkin 1920-30-40 luvuille? En kyllä ole 100 % varma.

Huomasin koiran muutama vuosi sitten Tukholman Antikmässänilla ja kiinnitin heti huomiota sen asentoon. Useimmiten figuurit on muovattu melko rauhanomaisiin asentoihin, ei sitä useinkaan tapaa posliinifiguuria, jonka olemus henkisi varuillaanoloa tai jopa aggressiota.

I'm not an expert on interpreting the body language of dogs, but it is clear that this dog is agitated by something. I've always thought that this dog is probably in a guarding stance, barking at an intruder. He is not necessarily on the offensive, but his mood might turn into defensive aggression if provocated enough.

I've thought of him being a mixed-breed - probably even a dog-wolf mix - but a search on the web revealed that he's a German Shepherd - or at least intended to be one.
What I love particularly about this dog is the sculpting, the way the muscles seem tense, and the details on his paws. I love it when animals are depicted as something wild, and not as the polished, romanticised image that is often forced upon them.

I think I can say he is one of my favorites among the things I own. I've yet to come across anything quite like him.

En ole koirien elekielen tulkinnassa mikään ekspertti, mutta uskon sen olevan melko selkeää että koira on "vauhkoontunut" jostakin. Olen aina ajatellut että tämä koira luultavasti vartioimassa ja haukkuu hätyyttääkseen tunkeilijan tai ilmoittaakseen tästä omistajalle. Se ei välttämättä ole vielä hyökkäyslinjalla, mutta jos sitä provosoi vielä enemmän, tilanne saattaa johtaa aggressiiviseen toimintaan (tai ehkä puolustukseen).

Aiemmin pidin koiraa on sekarotuisena - ehkäpä jopa koirasutena - mutta nettitutkailun perusteella paljastui että se on saksanpaimenkoira - tai ainakin tarkoitettu olemaan sellainen.
Pidän siinä erityisesti skulptauksesta, siitä miten lihakset näyttävät jännittyneiltä sekä tassujen muotoilun yksityiskohdista. Pidän siitä, että eläimiä esitetään eläimellisinä, eikä aina romantisoituina kiiltokuvamaisina versioina.

Luulenpa että voin sanoa tämän koiran lukeutuvan yhdeksi lemppareimmista omistamistani asioista. Eteen ei ole tullut tähän mennessä mitään vastaavaa.

Loot from Plastic Pop!

So my Plastic Pop order arrived last thursday. I wasn't expecting them until December, because when preordering, the estimated shipping time was 29. November. But here they are! (And gosh! Why do the deliverymen always ring the doorbell when I'm only half-dressed? :''D )

These are Make It Own-sets from Groove Inc., who produces Pullip-collector dolls. MIO for short. It means that you get an un-painted, un-assembled doll set without any clothing so you can come up with your own idea for a doll. So the possibilities are endless - much like with BJDs.

I got the Taeyang and Isul -sets - that is, the male counterparts of Groove's Pullip and Dal dolls. I was sure that they'd sell quickly and sure enough, they were out of stock in Plastic Pop right on the day these sets arrived. So it was wise to preorder. :3

No niin, Plastic Popin tilaukseni saapui viime torstaina. En itseasiassa odottanut sitä ennen joulukuuta, koska ennakkotilatessa arvioitu saapumisaika oli 29. marraskuuta. Mutta ne ovat täällä! (Ja hitsit! Miksi lähetti-ihmiset osaavat aina soittaa ovikelloa juuri silloin kun olen aamutohinoissa ja puolipukeissa? :''D )

Nämä ovat Make It Own-settejä Groove Inc.:ltä, joka on tunnettu siitä että se valmistaa Pullip-keräilynukkeja. Lyhykäisesti MIO-settien ideana on se, että saat meikittömän ja kokoamattoman nuken joten voit tehdä siitä millaisen itse haluat. Mahdollisuudet ovat mittavat - aivan kuin BJD-nukeilla.

Minä valitsin Taeyang- ja Isul-setit eli miesnuket. Olin ihan varma että Taeyangit ja Isulit myydään ekana ja niin siinä kävikin että Plastic Popin varasto oli myyty loppuun jo heti kun nuket saapuivat sinne. Joten oli viisasta ennakkotilata. :3

This is the Taeyang-set. Taeyangs and Isuls are my favorites out of Groove's dolls. I love their bodies... (eh that sounded a bit wrong)... meaning that they pose rather nicely and are sturdy if compared to Pullips and Dals which are more fragile.

I also like the Taeyang-face sculpt most out of the dolls in the Pullip-doll line. It looks nice even when blank.

Tältä se sitten näyttää kun boksin availee. Tuo mieleen tee-se-itse-andoidi-setin. Ja se ei ole lainkaan huono mielleyhtymä minusta koska rakastan robotteja. :)
Tämä on Taeyang-setti. Taeyangit ja Isulit ovat Grooven nukeista lemppareimpiani. Tykkään niiden kehoista... eh, siis siinä mielessä että ne posettavat melko hyvin ja ovat kestäviä jos verrataan Pullipeihin ja Daleihin, jotka ovat herkempiä rikkoutumaan.

Tykkään Taeyangin naama-sculptista myös eniten kaikista Pullip-perheen nukeista. Se näyttää kivalta blankonakin.

The eye-mechanism. Looks like this one will be a rather complex puzzle to put together. Funnily they've included eyelashes as well (those hairy little spider-legs you see on the right), pasted them on the side of the box. Somehow I find them immensely amusing.

Silmämekanismi. Vaikuttaa siltä, että tästä tulee melko kinkkinen palapeli koottavaksi. Minua hauskuuttivat nuo mukaan tökätyt silmäripset (nuo karvaiset rimpsut tuossa oikealla), jotka oli kiinnitetty paketin kylkeen.

Makoto, My Isul MAO custom as an example of what could be expected of an Isul doll. Can you believe it, this is my first photo of a Groove doll in ages! I've been more into BJDs for a long time now, mainly because I never really felt statisfied with my Groove-doll photography...
I'm not perfect in photographing BJDs either but personally I find it easier than shooting Groove dolls. And I like posing BJDs better than these, I love the tension that the stringing causes in BJDs.

However, I'm starting to rekindle my interest into these little buggers more and more now.

Olen ollut enemmän kiinni BJD-harrastuksessa lähiaikoina, enimmäkseen siitä syystä että en koskaan ollut oikein tyytyväinen Groove-nukeista ottamiini kuviin...
En ole täydellinen BJD-kuvaamisessakaan, mutta se on silti minulle helpompaa kuin Groove-nukkien kuvaus. Ja tykkään enemmän BJD-nukkien asettelusta, rakastan sitä jännitystä, jonka stringaus aiheuttaa BJDillä ja saa ne ikäänkuin kantamaan omaa painoaan.

Nyt olen kuitenkin sytyttelemässä uudelleen intoani näihin pikku pallopäihin.

I've never put an Obitsu-body on a Pullip doll, but my Dal Tina (or Mackenzie as I've named her) has a broken arm and a floppy body so I decided to try a hybrid body for her. Alas, you should always check before buying, this is a soft bust body and apparently you can only make hybrids with hard busts. *facepalm*

Oh well, I'll just have to change the whole body then. At least she'll have bigger breasts. (Lucky for you Mackenzie, eh?)
I rather like the look of this body, though. I've only ever seen a male Obitsu doll at a friend's place before, and I liked him a lot. At least I'm having fun with poking the body in the stomach, it's so springy, whee! (A-hem! This doll stuff is serious business, mind you!)

En ole koskaan vaihtanut Obitsu-vartaloa Pullip-nukelle, mutta Dal Tinani (tai Mackenzie kuten nimesin sen) käsivarsi on ollut rikki heti paketista ottamisen jälkeen ja sen vartalo on muutenkin melko lerppu ja ärsyttävä, joten päätinpä sitten kokeilla sille hybridivartaloa obitsun kanssa.

Tästä opimme että pitäisi aina tarkistaa asiat ennen kuin ostaa, tämä vartalo on soft bust ja ilmeisesti hybridejä voi tehdä vain hard bust-vartaloiden ja nuken oman stock-vartalon kanssa. *läimäyttää itseään otsaan parhaaseen Jean-Luc Picard tyyliin*

No, täytynee sitten vaan vaihtaa koko vartalo. Ainakin Mackenzie saa sitten isommat tissit. (Onnekasta vai mitä, Mac?)
Tykkään siitä miltä tämä vartalo näyttää. Olen aiemmin nähnyt Obitsu nuken vain kerran kaverin luona ja tykkäsin siitä kovasti. Minulla on myös varsin hauskaa kun huvittelen tökkimällä tämän obitsun vatsaa, se on niin joustava, hiiii! (Öh-höm! Tämä nukkeilu se on sitten vakavaa ja aikuismaista puuhaa!)

 Clear from DRAMAtical Murder. Would he make a nice Taeyang doll? I bet that gas mask would be a pain to make, haha!

My favorite character from Dmmd is Koujaku, but I'm not too keen on painting the massive tattoos he has on my Taeyang. Clear looks like he'd be easier to make, the face is much more neutral so I bet it'd be OK to paint. I also like the fact that Clear is an android, and since the taeyang in pieces already reminds me of an andoid, I think it would be fitting.
And Clear is my second fav! ^3^

Oikeastaan lempparini tästä pelistä on Koujaku, mutta en aio lähteä maalaamaan Taeeni niitä tatuointeja. Clear olisi helpompi tehdä, kasvomeikit ovat aika neutraalit. Lisäksi pidän siitä ajatuksesta että tämä hahmo on androidi, kun palasina oleva Taeyang tuo jo valmiiksi andoidit mieleeni.

Treasure Thursdays 03 - Stockholm Shoppinghaul!

This time I'll show you the stuff I bought during the Stockholm-trip, in words and pictures. New things can count as treasures too, right? :3

First we have the magazines. I had a hard time choosing, but then I decided on KERA, Cosmode and Gothic Lolita Bible. Age-wise I might not belong to the target audience of KERA, a street style magazine for Japanese teens, but I still enjoy looking at the extravagant dressing styles and maybe snatch some inspiration to assimilate something in my own style while I'm at it.

I bought Gothic Lolita Bible mainly because of the bunny-girl illustration on the cover... I do love lolita-style but I might feel a bit uncomfortable wearing it myself. But who knows.

Cosmode was an impulse-buy. I haven't cosplayed in a long while but I'd like to make a costume for the next con I'll attend (probably Desucon Frostbite 2014). So I picked this magazine for inspiration as well.

Tällä kertaa esittelen sanoin ja kuvin juttuja joita ostin Tukholman matkalla. Eikös niin että uudetkin asiat voidaan laskea aarteiksi? :3

Ensimmäisenä lehdet. Pohdin pitkään mitkä valitsisin sieltä hyllystä, mutta sitten päädyin KERAan, Cosmodeen ja Gothic Lolita Bibleen. Iältäni en ehkä ole KERAn kohdeyleisöä (lehti siis keskittyy japanilaisten teinien katumuotiin), mutta tykkään silti katsella näyttäviä asuja ja lueskella juttuja(tässä numerossa oli erityisesti hauska kummitusjuttupalsta lukijoilta.) sekä ehkä saada inspiraatiota ja sulauttaa jotakin omaankin tyyliin.

Gothic Lolita Biblen ostin pääasiallisesti hienon puputyttökansikuvan vuoksi. Pidän kyllä lolita-tyylistä mutta ehkä tuntisin oloni hieman kummalliseksi jos itse pukeutuisin täysin siihen. Mutta kukapa tietää.

Cosmode oli heräteostos, en ole cossannut aikoihin, mutta olisi kiva tehdä jokin asu seuraavaan coniin (joka olisi varmaankin Desucon Frostbite 2014). Joten nappasin tämänkin lehden inspiraatiota etsiäkseni.

Cosmode had pictures of japanese cosplayers and some tips and patterns for costumes too. I found loads of cosplayers dressing up as some of my favorite characters in this magazine which was a nice surprise! I'll show you some of the pics that caught my eye.

Here we have Aoba, Sei, Virus and Trip from Nitro+Chiral's newest visual novel DRAMAtical Murder!(too bad they didn't have a Koujaku among them... ;__; ) I'm very much into (and have been for the latest year or so) DMMd at the moment if you haven't noticed it. ;-D

I'd really like to cosplay Aoba (the blue-haired one in the middle, for those who don't know) sometime, but his jacket looks like a lot of work...

Cosmodessa on kuvia japanilaisista cossaajista sekä vinkkejä ja joitakin kaavoja asuihin myöskin. Löysin useita kuvia lempparihahmojani cossaavista ihmisistä tästä lehdestä, mikä oli kiva yllätys! Näytän joitakin kuvia lehdestä teille, joista erityisesti tykkäsin.

Tässä meillä onkin Aoba, Sei, Virus ja Trip Nitro+Chiralin uusimmasta visual novelista DRAMAtical Murderista! (harmi kun ei ollut Koujakua mukana... ;__; ) Olen tällä hetkellä tosi innoissani (ja olen ollut jo ainakin yli vuoden tai niillä main) DMMd:sta mikäli ette ole huomanneet. ;-D

...however they had some official Togainu no Chi costumes licensed by Nitro+Chiral  for sale! I'd be more than happy to get an Akira-jacket like that. ^3^

Some (mostly western) people don't appreciate cosplayers who buy their costumes ready-made. But if the maker of the original work has licensed and approved the ready-made costumes, and even had some say as to what kind of designs the costumes should have, I think that might be even more accurate character-and-fan-wise to buy a costume like this.

I believe they used to have these costumes on Nitro+Chiral's own online-store as well...

Jotkut (enimmäkseen kai länsimaiset) ihmiset eivät arvosta cossaajia, jotka ostavat asunsa valmiina. Mutta; jos alkuperäisteoksen tekijät ovat lisensoineet ja hyväksyneet valmiit asut sekä ovat ehkä jopa vaikuttaneet asujen designiin, minusta olisi ehkä jopa osuvampaa fani- ja hahmo-kohtaisesti jos ostaisi tällaisen asun.

Muistaakseni näitä myytiin jossain vaiheessa myös Nitro+Chiralin omassa nettikaupassa...

Moving on to other purchases. The rest of the japanese volumes 14, 15 and 16 of Kuroshitsuji or Black Butler that I was missing from my collection, a Nyanko-sensei kaoridama (scented beads) holder and a couple of Vocaloid Senbonzakura figures, Miku and Rin.

Siirrytään sitten eteenpäin muihin ostoksiin. Loput minulta puuttuneet osat Kuroshitsujista eli Black Butlerista japaniksi. Nyanko-sensei kaoridama eli tuoksupallopidikepehmolelu (heh) ja senbonzakura Miku ja Rin figut.

Close-ups! I picked the senbonzakura figures in a hurry and mistook these as blindboxes. So I accidentally bought two Rins. Meh, I would have wanted a Len too. :'c Oh well, the dobbelganger Rin found a new home at my friend's place.

Note to self - a figure in a box doesn't always equal a blindbox figure.

Picture books are among the various things I collect, obviously.

The illustrations of The Witch in The Forest are beautifully surreal, symbolistic even. I think this book is more oriented to adults than to children.

Mr. Stickman's Adventure is... a strange book to say the least. The main character is a personificated wooden stick. What in the world...?
Oh well, it's a good thing I prefer my world with a touch of strangeness. As such, it was impossible for me to pass this one. ;''D

A 1960's Dog calender. With name days for dogs. I consider this somewhat of a curiosity, since I think it would have been unimaginable for us here in Finland to have had a name day calendar for dogs in the 60's.

We do have those now, but it's a rather recent thing I believe.

My Name is Rainbow! - Treasure Thursdays 02

Sunny day with little to no clouds. A good day to go for a flight~

Although I have many favorite characters in My Little Pony; Friendship is Magic and I love everypony in the Mane 6, Rainbow Dash still holds a special place in my heart. :3 I'm not sure why I love Rainbow Dash so much. I'm not athletic myself at all, so that's not it. Maybe I just like her proud dare-devil character and hervisual design.
Who is your favorite pony and why?

 This is a vinyl collectible Dashie from Funko. I love the more adult-oriented style in the packaging~

I think that it's also a good example of the kidult-culture of our times that collectible figures for adults are made from shows originally oriented for children. This is something that I never would have quessed when I was a little filly girl and head-over-hooves crazy about My Little Ponies.

I think it's pretty neat that I can still be a fan of the same brand that I loved back when I was a child. It feels like a link that surpasses the years, a connection between my older self and my kid-self. :3

I had grand plans to introduce my collection in a series of posts, as you might remember from Collector at Heart - Spica's Treasure Chest part 01 - post. Finally I decided that it might be more viewer-friendly to introduce a specific thing - or a few specific things under a certain theme every now and then, rather than posting a huge pile of things all at once.

Well, if not EVERY thursday, I'll strive to make a Treasure-post every SECOND thursday at the least. ;-) ....or perhaps every third thursday. Meep! We'll see how it goes.

Rainbow Dash-kokoelmani tähän asti, lukuunottamatta pikkuista Dashie-pehmolelua. Haluan vielä ainakin ison Dashie-pehmoponin~ <3

Ai niin ja jos ihmettelit tuota "Treasure Thursdays"-osiota otsikossa, niin ajattelin aloittaa uuden postaussarjan, joissa esittelen laajentuvan kokoelmani helmiä ja asioita joita arvostan.
Minullahan oli jo aiemmin suuria suunnitelmia kokoelmieni esittelemiseen, kuten saatatte muistaa Collector at Heart - Spica's Treasure Chest Part 01-postauksesta.

Lopulta päädyin kuitenkin tällaiseen menetelmään, joka saattaa olla katsoja-ystävällisempi. Esittelen siis aina osissa jonkin tietyn yksittäisen esineen tai muutamia esineitä, joita yhdistää jokin tietty teema aina silloin tällöin. Se on varmaankin hauskempaa kuin ison teksti- ja kuvapalkin läpikahlaaminen kerralla.

Noh, jos en sitten IHAN joka torstai ehtisikään postailemaan, niin pinnistelen että pystyisin tekemään Treasure-postauksen edes joka TOINEN torstai. ;-)
                                                                               ....tai sitten ehkäpä joka kolmas torstai. Iiip! Katsotaan mitä tapahtuu.
