Day two of the photo challenge and I'm already deviating from taking pics of dolls... I had the day off so we headed for some strawberry refreshments with Fyrd8th. I conveniently had my 2D husbando with me in 3D, Motomi-ossan! <3

...actually I have him with me all the time, as he is one of the things I keep in my shoulder bag as a mascot.

On kuvaushaasteen toinen päivä ja poikkean jo pelkkien nukkien kuvaamisesta... Minulla oli vapaapäivä, joten suuntasimme mansikkaisille virvokkeille Fyrd8th'n kanssa. Sopivasti mukanani oli kaksiulotteinen husbandoni kolmiulotteisena, Motomi-ossan! <3

...oikeastaan Motomi matkaa mukanani kokoajan, koska se on yksi niistä asioista joita pidän pysyvästi mukanani laukussa. Maskottina.

Backlogged much and I thought I'd just skip some things but then I thought I'd still like to have a record of what (little) I've done with the doll hobby this spring. If not for others, just for myself, when I read the old posts some day in the undefined future!

Actually, even though I haven't done all that much with my dolls lately, surprisingly I've been to a lot of dollmeets this spring! I'll try to post about the meets in chronological order so it might take some time to cover them all.

A few weeks back I went to Jyväskylä, a city in Central Finland. The trip was made on a very short notice and the original reason for me to go there was so that me and my dear friend Petunia could make reservations for fligths and hotels for our trip to ---!--- London next October! Apparently there was a dollmeet to be held on that same weekend there and Petunia invited me to come over.

Ajanpuutteen vuoksi suomenkieliset käännökset tulevat myöhemmin. Olen lähdössä matkalle Saksaan tänään illalla ja pakkaaminen on vielä tekemättä! :'D Kaikki jää viime tippaan kuten tavallista.
Käväisin jokunen aika sitten Jyväskylässä, jotta voisimme Petunian kanssa ostaa matkaliput ja varata hotellit lokakuun Lontoon matkaa varten. (ollaan taas lähdössä reissuun yhdessä, jeeee! En malta odottaa! x3 ) Paikkakunnalla sattui olemaan myös nukkemiitti käynnissä, johon Petunia minut ystävällisesti kutsui. Tässä hieman Jykylä-tunnelmia!

Tämän postauksen jälkeen seuraavaksi vuorossa Helsinki- ja Turku-miittien tunnelmia, mutta tässä välissä saatan postata myös jotain matkafiiliksiä mikäli saan WiFin käyttöön ja toimimaan! Jee jee.

Sillä välin pitäkää hauskaa vaikka Google Translatorin kanssa! :D

Spica and @hileisin go to Desucon Frostbite 2016!

From the 15th to 17th of January me and my friend @hileisin (on Instagram) were in Lahti, where one of the best conventions in Finland is held - Desucon Frostbite! The convention truly is aptly named as it was freezingly cold! And a lot of snow! Too bad I was too cold to take my mittens off for some pretty winter photos. ^^;;

Yumeka, my Dollfie Dream Sister Xenosaga III M.O.M.O. was of course with me. She has become a "convention doll" of sorts since she's so easy to carry and always happy to come with me!

15-17. tammikuuta olimme ystäväni @hileisin kanssa vähän desuilemassa Lahdessa, jossa yksi Suomen parhaista coneista pidettiin. Siis Desucon Frostbite! Con oli kyllä osuvasti nimetty, koska oli ihan hirmuisen kylmä! Ja luntakin riitti! Harmi kyllä palelsi liikaa, että olisi pystynyt ottamaan lapaset pois ja napata valokuvia. ^^;;

Yumeka, Dollfie Dream Sister Xenosaga III M.O.M.O. oli tietenkin mukana. Siitä on tullut vähänniinkuin "coninukke" koska on niin helppo kantaa ja aina valmiina mukaan matkalle!

Back to School -dollmeet and a New Teenie Gem doll!

Last Saturday I was in a small dollmeet in Turku. The meet was Back to School -themed so I got a chance to dress Yumeka in the sailor uniform I bought for her from Volks Akihabara shop. The meet was actually organized for members of a resin BJD forum, and Yumeka is a vinyl Dollfie Dream but I took some resin Teenie Gems with me as well...

Viime lauantaina olin pienessä nukkemiitissä Turussa. Miitin teemana oli Back to School joten sain tilaisuuden pukea Yumekalle seilorikoulupuvun, jonka ostin sille Volksin Akihabaran myymälästä. Miitti oli oikeastaan Hartsilapset-foorumin jäsenille, ja Yumeka on vinyylinen Dollfie Dream, mutta mukanani oli myös hartsisia Teenie Gem-nukkeja...

The meetup was on 30th May, I took a whole bunch of photos and didn't have energy to go through them before now... But now I bring you a crapload of crappity crap ol' pictures ahead so "Be prepared"!!! The dolls are pretty though. But I had trouble with the composition and lighting of these photos but at least I got some pictures to remember the meet by!

No voi että, Lycander, mistä noin nyrpeä naama? Ei nyt ole hetki murjottaa nurkassa, koska nyt tulee postaus superhauskasta Hartsilapset-foorumin "Turun osaston" synttärimiitistä!

Miitti oli 30. toukokuuta ja otin toooosi paljon kuvia enkä sitten jaksanut käydä niitä läpi ennenkuin nyt... Ja älyttömästi huonohkoja kuvia edessä joten valmistautukaa siihen! Nuket tosin ovat nättejä, mutta minulla oli paljon vaikeuksia kuvien rajaamisen ja valotuksen suhteen. Siksi ne ovat tuollaisia vähän miten sattuu räpsittyjä mutta onpahan jotain kuvia edes joita katsellessa voi muistella kivaa miittiä!

Hanami Meet 2015 - The Odd and The Beautiful

Oh it's June already? Nooo I don't want May to be over yet! Let's still linger in the springtime feelings for a little while, at least as long as it takes to read this post. :)

On 17th of May we were in Roihuvuori to see the beautiful sakura blossoms with our dollymeet-gang. Safir, Sargonnas, Janina, Elina and Luna!
It was really beautiful and a super-fun meet, we'll have to make this an annual event (especially since Tiinyan couldn't come so she'll be able to join us next year!).

Oho, onko nyt muka jo kesäkuu? Eiiii en halua että toukokuu on vielä ohitse! Pysytellään vielä kevättunnelmissa hetken aikaa, ainakin tämän yhden postauksen verran. :)

17 toukokuuta olimme Roihuvuoressa katsomassa upeita kirsikankukkia nukkemiittailu-porukkamme kanssa. Mukana olivat Safir, Sargonnas, Janina, Elina ja Luna!
Oli todella kaunista, sääkin suosi meitä ja muutenkin miitti oli aivan huippu. Tästä täytyy tehdä kyllä vuosittainen tapaus, varsinkin kun Tiinyan ei päässyt mukaan niin hän pääsee sitten ensi vuonna tunnelmoimaan hanamiin myös!

Paljon kuvia tästä eteenpäin! Kökköjä! Mutta ehkä söpöjä!

Popcult Helsinki Ambience 02

Back in Popcult Ambience 02! ( First part here!)

Yeah, a new friend joined us at the con:  Aobaca's big brother! I've been wanting a big alpaca and preferably a blue one (because... reasons!). And then I saw this perfection is sitting at the counter and honestly I *tried* to resist... Really I did, I walked past it many times.

But then I remembered I was going to spend the night at my friend's place and the thought of sleeping and hugging a big alpaca was too much so I gave in. :'D (also I thought I'd had some fun with teasing my friends with the alpaca on the way to the apartment, mwahaha and so I did! x'D)

Nyt takaisin vielä minun Popcult viikonloppuni tunnelmiin hetkeksi tässä postauksessa (eka osa löytyy täältä!)
Jupp, conista tarttui matkaan uusi ystävä: Aobacan isoveli! Kuvassa feat. ystäväni kätöset! Olen himoinnut isoa alpakkaa ja mieluiten sinistä sellaista (koska... syyt!). Ja sitten siellä myyntitiskillä istuksii tällainen täydellisyys ja... minä *yritin* vastustaa kiusausta ihan totta! Kuljin alpakan ohi monta kertaa...

Mutta sitten muistin että olin menossa yöksi kaverin luokse ajatus nukkumisesta isoa alpakkaa halaten oli liikaa joten annoin periksi. :'D (ajattelin myös että saattaisi olla kivaa hiukan kiusata alpakalla kavereita matkalla kämpille, mwahahaa ja se olikin! x'D)

Popcult Helsinki PotPourri 01

It's been a busy spring and lots has happened but I don't seem to find the time to post about things... I'll try and get things up to date here. This weekend I was in Helsinki Lolita convention or Hellocon. But I'll write a little something about Popcult Helsinki first. Popcult was a popular culture convention I went to two weeks ago.

In Popcult I couldn't help but fall for this giant alpaca plush here... ^3^ (But a big blue alpaca! Cute one! What can you do!)

Onpas tämä kevät ollut kiireinen, en ole ehtinyt postaamaan kaikkea mitä olisin halunnut... No, yritän saada jutut ajantasalle. Viime viikonloppuna olin Helloconissa, eli Helsinki Lolita conventionissa. Sitä ennen kirjotan muutaman sanasen kuitenkin kahden viikon takaisesta Popcult Helsingistä, jossa kävin myös kavereiden kanssa.

Ja tietysti Popcultissa tuli sorruttua taas alpakoihin... ^3^ (Mutta sininen iso alpakka! Suloinen! Ei voi minkään!)

Of Matching Little Devils and Connections with Dolly Friends...

I received my Soom the Chess Skoll back from face up a while ago. When I went to pick him up, I took some photos of our devil children with Fyrd8th.

The white Skoll, Rigel, belongs to Fyrd8th and the gray Skoll is my Schadenfreude, or Franz for short. We've planned for matching looks for the both from the beginning and it's nice to see our plans coming reality.

I tried using LineCamera application for Android with the post-production of these photos so they might look a bit different than the ones on Flickr. The lighting conditions and the background for these photos weren't optimal, but we just wanted to have some photos of the two together.

Sain Soom The Chess Skoll-nukkeni takaisin face upista jokin aika sitten ja otin hiukan valokuvia pikku pirulapsistamme Fyrd8th'n kanssa.

Valkoinen Skoll, Rigel, kuuluu Fyrd8th'lle ja harmaa Skoll on minun Schadenfreude tai tuttavallisemmin Franz. Olemme suunnitelleet näille pikkuisille yhteensopivaa tyyliä jo alusta lähtien kun viime syksynä tilasimme tahoillamme nuket ja on ollut hauska katsoa miten suunnitelmat toteutuvat.

Kokeilin näiden kuvien kanssa LineCamera-sovellusta Androidille joten ovat hieman erinäköisiä kuin Flickrissä olevat samat kuvat. Kuvausolosuhteet ja ympäristö eivät olleet parhaimmasta päästä, mutta halusimme edes jonkinlaisia yhteiskuvia näistä kahdesta.

The Day I Fell in Love with Picco Neemos (or a second mini dollymeet...)

It was a week ago and I only have crappy pics to prove it, but we had another fun dolly minimeet with Safir, Poara, Tiinyan and a new addition to our gang, Elina!
Sadly Sarg was ill so she couldn't make it to the meet. :c Hope to see you next time! ^^

This time I took my Dollfie Dream Yumeka with me and she met with Poara's DD Momoko for the first time! I hope we can take better photos of the two some time. :3 The mini dolls are Safir's Azone Picco Neemos and ahh, they were SO cute. ;__;
Now I know I HAVE to get myself a Picco Neemo, sniff. I thought they would feel more fragile to the touch but they are actually really fun and sturdy to pose.

Siitä onkin jo viikko ja todisteena vain huonona kuvia, mutta meillä oli taas pieni mutta sitäkin hauskempi nukkemiitti Safirin, Janinan, Tiinyanin ja uuden ystävän, Elinan kanssa! Harmi että Sarg oli kipeänä, joten hän ei päässyt miittiin. :c Toivottavasti nähdään ensi kerralla! ^^

Tällä kertaa mukanani oli Dollfie Dream Yumeka ja hän pääsi tapaamaan ensimmäistä kertaa Janinan DD'a Momokoa! Toivottavasti saamme joskus otettua näistä kahdesta yhteiskuvia paremmissa kuvausolosuhteissa. Pikkuruiset nuket Dollfie Dreamien sylissä ovat Safirin Azone Picco Neemoja ja ahh kun ne olivat söpösiä. ;__; Nyt tiedän että Picco Neemo on PAKKO saada, sniff. Luulin että ne tuntuisivat käsissä heiveröisemmiltä, mutta ne ovatkin itseasiassa tosi hauskoja ja ihan jämäköitä poseerattavia.

Most of the time was spent at a chinese restaurant (they didn't bring the cheque and we sat there and chatted for a long time we had finished eating... I guess they didn't dare to intervene in our discussions about removing doll eyes and refridgerating heads... x'''D ).

We had the intention to go to a café afterwards and take some dollypics there... but alas as it was sunday, all the cafés closed early so we arranged the dolls on some table that we found in a corner at the shopping mall and took some photos quickly before the guards shooed us away. :'D (heh, no it wasn't forbidden to take doll photos at the mall... we just stayed there a bit over the closing time that's all. )

Minun versioni nukkemiitistä Safirin, Sargin, Janinan ja Tiinyanin kanssa! Oli ihan parasta ^3^/ Oli niin kiva nähdä teitä kaikkia ja jutustella kaikenlaisesta! Kiitos paljon ja ensi kertaan! :33

Suurin osa ajasta vierähti kiinalaisessa ravintolassa (eivät tulleet tuomaan laskuja... meillä oli kai liian pelottavat keskustelut nukkesilmien irrottamisesta ja päiden pakastamisesta ja kaikesta sen sellaisesta kivasta x''DD ).
Meillä oli tarkoituksena mennä sitten sen jälkeen kahvilaan napsimaan nukkekuvia mutta ei muistettukaan että sunnuntaina kahvilat meneekin kiinni aikaisemmin... Pistettiin sitten nuket istuksimaan jollekin pöydälle jonka löysimme ostoskeskuksen nurkasta ja napsimme äkkiä muutamat kuvat ennenkuin vartijat tulivat hätyyttämään meitä pois.

Heh... ja ei, siellä ei ollut kiellettyä kuvata nukkeja, olimme vaan vartijoiden riesaksi hiukan sulkemisajan yli.

Advent Calendar door 03 - A Christmas Greeting, Pom-style!

Yesterday's advent calendar door had Xavier with his Christmas card, so this time I wanted to show the super-cute Christmas card that I myself got at the dollmeet. :3
The drawing on the card depicts Remy, my Soom Necy surprise and she really looks just like my Remy, down to that little heart on her cheek. Awww~
I am really touched that I got such a sweet little greeting card and it's always heart-warming when someone has drawn something just for me~  <3

Eilisen luukussa komeili Xavier joulukortteineen. Tällä kertaa ajattelin esitellä itse miitissä saamani aivan ihanan kortin, josta kurkistaa suloinen piirros Remystä. Ja on kyllä ihan Remyn näköinen, pikkuruinen sydänkin on muistettu piirtää poskeen. :3 Lämmitti kyllä mieltä saada näin söpö ja vielä itse piirretty kortti~ <3
