For Auld Lang Syne!

I had Fyrd8th, Tiirikka and Dark over yesterday for a private doll meet and they helped me get this fellow together. (Thank you guys! I had great fun <3 ) :-) I never would have managed it on my own, since this bunny was strung real tight!

He's handsome but isn't completely without flaws - his thighs don't fit in their sockets which leaves the doll all wonky, especially when trying a standing pose. Oh, Soom... I'll have to find out where the problem lies, did I get the wrong kind of discet shaped parts that connect his tighs or if it is just a typical sculpt fail for all Mad Hatters and White Rabbits.

Eilen Fyrd8th, Tiirikka ja Dark olivat luonani kylässä yksityisnukkemiitissä ja ystävällisesti auttoivat minua saamaan tämän tyypin kokoon. (Kiitos, minulla oli tosi hauskaa! <3 :-) En olisi varmaan koskaan saanut yksikseni sitä tehtyä, koska pupu-ukkeli oli todella tiukassa narutuksessa!

Komea setä on hän, mutta ei täysin ilman puutteita - miehen reidet eivät oikein istu niille varattuun tilaan, mikä tekee nukesta letkuilevan, etenkin jos sitä yrittää asettaa seisomaan. Voi, Soom... Täytynee selvittää mistä ongelma johtuu, sainko vääränlaiset disketinmalliset palat, jotka yhdistävät reidet vartaloon, vai onko tämä vain tyypillinen sculptin feilausongelma joka on ominainen kaikille Mad Hattereille ja White Rabbiteille.

He's borrowing Arcady - My Soom Sweet Witch's wig... which actually was going to be HIS wig in the first place but...with dolls it doesn't always work the way you planned. Or it NEVER works the way you plan with dolls, more likely!

I'm thinking of a white or raven-black hair for him but we'll see... For the time being he's going to appear in borrowed stuff, until I get around ordering something for him. The eyes are the ones I intended for Bram, I actually have a pair of completely red eyes for Mad Hatter but I kinda like the way he looks with these. He looks so serene. :3

No, ainakin se istuu hyvin, hehheh! :''D Ja puku on myöskin hieno!
Hän lainaa Arcadyn eli Soom Sweet Witchini peruukkia, mutta katsotaan... Sen piti olla alunperin Mad Hatterin peruukki mutta... nukkien kanssa ei suunnitelmat aina toimi. Tai siis suunnitelmat ei koskaan toimi nukkien kanssa!

Suunnittelen tosin valkoista tai korpinmustaa peruukkia pupujätkälle. Vähään aikaan pupumies tulee esiintymään vain lainatavaroissa, siihen asti kun saan aikaiseksi tilattua jotakin omaa sille. Silmät ovat ne mitkä tarkoitin Bramille, minulla on Mad Hatterille täysin punaiset silmät varattuna mutta tykkään itseasiassa tästäkin lookista sillä. Hän näyttää niin seesteiseltä. :3

 

As you can see, it is not completely impossible to get him to stand on his own. :3 I'm in love with the bunnyfeet. Too bad the thighs are problematic since he'd definitely stand steady on this set of gigantic paws!

Kuten kuvasta näkyy, ei miekkosta ole kuitenkaan täysin mahdotonta saada seisomaan omillaan. :3 Rakastan pupujalkoja! Harmin paikka kun reidet ovat ongelmallisia, koska pupumies seisoisi todennäköisesti hyvin vakaasti megakäpälillä muuten!

Sitten, miitti-kuvan inspiroimana päätin että oli uuden ryhmäkuvan aika pikku Soominkaisistani. Tässä siis Teenie Gemini joulukuussa 2013 (Ayato puuttuu koska Remy lainaa sen kroppaa). Luulen että olen keräilyssäni siinä pisteessä etten "tarvitse" enempää Teenieitä kuin mitä jo valmiiksi on... Box-Box-Boxing Day

I got an Azone doll for Christmas (and a couple of Pullips that I'll introduce in the future. :). This is Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi from Hentai Prince and The Stony Cat (変態王子と笑わない猫). 
-anime and ranobe series. I haven't seen the show but maybe I'll have to now, at least it sounds interesting. :3

Sain joululahjaksi mm. Azone-nuken (ja pari Pullippia joista toisen ostin itselleni. ;) Esittelen niitä tulevaisuudessa.) Tässä on Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat-anime ja light novel-sarjasta. Sarja ei ole minulle entuudestaan tuttu mutta ehkä pitää tutustua, se vaikuttaa ainakin kiinnostavalta. :3

I spent the Boxing Day getting to know this new kind of doll for me. Actually, I find the Pure Neemo dolls very much like an action figure - even the smell of plastic is the same as you take the doll out of the box! Tsukiko came with 5 sets of changeable hands which is pretty nifty.

Tapaninpäiväni kului tämän uudenlaisen nukkelajin tutkailussa. Itseasiassa, Pure Neemo-nuket muistuttavat minusta kovasti action figuureja - jopa muovin tuoksu boksia avatessa on sama! Tsukiko saapui 5 erilaisen vaihdettavat käsiparin kanssa, mikä oli erittäin siistiä.

The parcel contained the King of Tokyo-game and we just had to try a few rounds of it right away! Tsukiko seemed to be my Lady Luck since I won the first round! ^3^

The game was pretty much fun, it was easy to learn but requires some tactics to claim the victory!

I've been asked to take a group picture of my dolls and I thought it would be fun! There's a couple of dolls missing from this shot, though, since I don't have all of my dolls here with me at my parents' place for Christmas. Can you quess which ones are missing? :3

It was a lot of work to arrange all of them so that they'd stay put and be visible in the picture. I was feeling like putting together a house of cards!

Christmas Hero - Spicasmago Advent Calendar 22

Today I decided that it was finally time to put away the Halloween decorations and add some Christmassy bling bling to my apartment.
Usually we bring the Christmas tree in on Christmas Eve at my parents' place but I got my white artificial tree out of its box today and decorated it. I've always wanted to decorate a Christmas tree mainly with heart-shaped baubles and this year I'll get to do that~ Yay~

(Of course I prefer a real fir tree to an artificial one, but since I'll spend the holidays at home, a real tree would wither during that time...)

Tänään päätin että on aika laittaa Halloween koristeet pois ja ripotella jouluista bling blingiä ympäri asuntoa.
Meillä on yleensä vanhempieni luona tapana tuoda joulukuusi sisään vasta jouluaattona, mutta minäpäs otin varaslähdön ja kokosin valkoisen tekokuuseni boksistaan esille. Olen aina halunnut koristella kuusen pelkästään sydämenmallisilla koristeilla ja tänä vuonna voin tehdä niin~ Yay~

(Tietenkin minusta aito kuusi on mainiompi verrattuna tekokuusiin, mutta koska olen joulun kotona niin oikea kuusi nääntyisi sinä aikana kämpillä...)

Happy Birthday Ritsuka! - Spicasmago Advent Calendar 21

December 21 is the birthday of Aoyagi Ritsuka, a character from a manga called Loveless by Kouga Yun-sensei. So my Ritsuka-doll also celebrates his birthday today!

It's funny that two of my favorite characters, Ciel and Ritsuka, happen to have birthdays in December. :3

Joulukuun 21 päivä on Aoyagi Ritsukan, hahmon Yun Kouga-sensein mangasta Loveless, syntymäpäivä. Siispä minun Ritsuka-nukkenikin juhlii tänään synttäreitä!

On hassua että kaksi lempparihahmoani, Ciel ja Ritsuka, ovat syntyneet joulukuussa. :3

In the background is Kouga-sensei's artbook "Your Eyes Only". This illustration was the first pic I ever saw of Ritsuka in 2005 and I got interested in Loveless immediately. I didn't even know what the story was about, I just loved the art style and the character seemed interesting (I love catboys and -girls!)

I feel that I tend to get "stuck" with some series, I just don't watch or read them and move forward to newer favorites. Loveless is one of these series that I love and I know it will hold a special place in my heart. I feel that Loveless somehow holds the memories of my adult life since it has been for me there during this time.

Taustalla on Kouga-sensein taidekirja "Your Eyes Only". Tämä kuva oli ensimmäinen minkä ikinä olen nähnyt Ritsukasta. Se oli vuonna 2005 ja kiinnostuin sen nähtyäni Loveless-mangasta välittömästi. En edes tiennyt mistä tarina kertoi, rakastuin piirrostyyliin ja hahmo vaikutti kiintoisalta (rakastan kissapoikia ja -tyttöjä!)

Minusta tuntuu että jään "kiinni" joihinkin sarjoihin, en vain katso tai lue niitä ja siirry eteenpäin uusin fanituksen kohteisiin. Loveless on yksi näistä sarjoista, joita rakastan ja tiedän että se tulee säilyttämään erityisen paikan sydämessäni. Minusta tuntuu että Loveless kantaa mukanaan niitä muistoja joita minulle on kertynyt aikuiselämäni aikana, koska se on seurannut mukana nämä vuodet, kun olen seurannut ilmestymistahtia.

Puzzle of the Bunny Kind - Spicasmago Advent Calendar 20

The last BJD arrival of 2013!
I would say that Santa visited early, but in fact this one is more like a late birthday present, since I'm born in the summer and he was the Monthly Doll for July 2013. I finished paying him off in October and have been waiting for Soom to deliver my big, dark and handsome Super Gem Bunny Guy.

Of course, he ended up in the clutches of the Finnish customs and I had to pay a ransom in taxes almost worth the price of a Teenie Gem to get him home... ^^;;

Don't mind my messy apartment, and as you can see I still haven't put away the Halloween decorations. :'D I love Halloween so much that I usually keep the decorations put until Christmas. (that or I'm just plain lazy).

Vuoden 2013 viimeinen BJD-saapuminen!
Sanoisin että Joulupukki kävi aikaisin, mutta oikeastaan tämä on enemmänkin synttärilahja joka vaan tuli vähän myöhässä. Olen syntynyt kesällä ja tämä äijä oli heinäkuun 2013 kuukauden nukke. Layawayn makselin loppuun lokakuussa ja siitä lähtien olen odotellut että Soom toimittaisi ison, tumman ja komean Super Gem Pupu Mieheni.

Tottakai puppeli joutui Suomen tullin kynsiin ja piti maksaa arvonlisäverossa lunnaat mikä kipusi melkein yhden Teenie Gemin hinnan tasolle että saataisiin pupu kotiin. ^^;;

Älkää piitatko sotkuisasta asunnostani, kuten huomaatte en ole vieläkään laittanut Halloween koristeita pois. :'D Rakastan Halloweenia ja yleensä pidän niitä esillä jouluun asti (tai sitten olen vaan tosi laiska).

 Pahoittelen kuvan"laatua", oli pakko ottaa nämä puhelimen kameralla (örgh). Oikea kamerani on kotona vanhempien luona, missä majailen tällä hetkellä kun autan jouluvalmisteluissa ja unohdin napata sen mukaan asunnolleni mennessäni.
Minulla oli vain vähän aikaa avata boksi ja tarkistaa että kaikki näyttäisi olevan kunnossa.

Mad Hatter/White Rabbit outfit in white. And a flowery skirt that I got as a gift. Somehow Soom never ceases to amaze with odd gifts that are thrown in seemingly at random.
I had to laugh a little at that skirt, thinking what it would look like on my Mad Hatter. :'D

Soom SG simple type male body. I regretted a bit that I didn't get the extra type but so far this body seems alright as well.
At least it looks  yummy prettily sculpted.

Soom SG simple type miesvartalo. Hiukan harmittelin jälkeenpäin etten sittenkin ottanyt extra type kehoa, mutta kyllä tämäkin vartalo vaikuttaa ainakin tähän asti ihan OKlta mitä nyt hiukan olen ehtinyt sitä hypistelemään.
Ainakin se näyttää namilta hyvin skulptatulta.

This is a really pretty face-up, it doesn't show that well in these crappy pics, though.
I especially love the lips and the eyelashes! Lashes are a beautiful mix of black and white, and have a feathery kind of feel to them. <3
This head is very feminine and I think the face-up actually suits it better than the smirky-face. So I'm keeping it this way. I'll get a custom face-up for the smirky head from a face-up artist. :3

I'll take better photographs and reveal the contents of the rest of these parcels soon! At least I have something to do during the Christmas holidays now - putting this Bunny puzzle together! :'D

Face-up on kyllä todella nätti, vaikka se ei näykään näissä kököissä kuvissa.
Tykkään eritoten huulista ja silmäripsistä! Ripset ovat kauniisti mustavalkoiset ja niissä on sellainen kiva sulkamainen fiilis. <3
Tämä pää on tosi feminiinisen näköinen ja hetken tutkiskeltuani tulin siihen lopputulokseen että default face-up sopii oikeastaan tälle päälle paremmin kuin virnistelijälle. Hankin virnupäälle sitten face-upin joltain taitavalta face-up taiteilijalta. :3

Otan myöhemmin parempia valokuvia ja avaan loputkin pikku paketit. Ainakin on jotain tekemistä joululomalla kun pitää koota tämä pupupalapeli! :'D

This is the last picture of Holly.... with her default face-up. I decided to try something new for her since that face-up from Dikadoll has never really been to my taste.

Santa's Trusty Watchdog - Spicasmago Advent Calendar 18

Nyt kävi niin että on pakko skipata 16 ja 17 luukku, anteeksi! ^^;; Olen ollut kamalan kiireinen parina viime päivänä, joten ei kuvia niiltä.
Tämän päivän luukussa onkin sitten pieni (ja surkea kuvanlaadultaan koska kiire) kuvatarina, jonka tein Hartsilapset-foorumin joulukalenteriluukkuun. Olin siis vastuussa siitä tänään!

I finally got a chocolate advent calendar for this year! ^__^ I have loads of chocolates to eat if I want to catch up with the daily rhythm of eating one piece per day.
That is... if Shade doesn't eat everything before me!

Shade: "Eeeee-xcellent~~"

I sometimes think of the Smurfs when I look at Shade (Soom Carbon). :''D In fact, I've never been too fond of Smurfs. I must have been a pretty evil child because I almost always rooted for the bad guys in stories or comics. I wanted the wizard Gargamel to finally catch and eat a Smurf or two, mwahahaha! (That's because I liked Gargamel's cat, Azrael. I even had a small Azrael the cat soft toy when I was a child. I wonder where he is now...)

Nowadays I think Smurfs are rather cute. You get softer with time, you see. :''D

Vihdoinkin sain oman suklaakalenterin tälle vuodelle! ^__^ Minulla on paljon suklaata nyt sitten mässytettävänä jos haluan ottaa kiinni rytmistä nami per päivä.
Siis... jos Shade ei ehdi syödä kaikkea ennen minua!

Shadea katsoessani minulle tulee usein Smurffit mieleen. :''D Itseasiassa, en koskaan lapsena niin välittänyt Smurffeista. Olin varmaan aika kiero pentu, koska olin melkein aina pahisten puolella tarinoissa. Halusin että velho Gargamel olisi viimein saanut kiinni edes pari Smurffia ja syönyt ne pikku p*ski*iset .X''D (Ehkäpä siitä syystä että tykkäsin velhon Rontti-kissasta. Minulla oli lapsena pikkuinen Rontti-pehmolelukin, tulikin mieleen että missähän se mahtaa olla nyt...)

Nykyisin kyllä tykkään Smurffeista. Ikä pehmittää luonteen, katsokaas. :''D

After eating all that chocolate, Shade appears to have a bulging stomach~ (That's what you get for eating too much goodies!)
I found some funny dolly-sized shirts from a Christmas market. They are actually made for Barbies but surprisingly fit Teenie Gems rather nicely.

Ugh. Shade's face-up is my own doing and although I thought it was alright at first, I'm starting to get sick of it. It's like rubbing the fact that my face-up "skills" are non-existant on my face when I look at it. Maybe it's time to admit defeat and get Shade a better face-up from someone who actually knows what they are doing. :3

Kaiken sen suklaasyöpöttelyn jälkeen Shaden vatsa on näemmä kehittänyt lupaavan pömpön. (Sen siitä saa kun syö liikaa herkkuja!)
Löysin Helsingin Vanhan ylioppilastalon joulumarkkinoilta hauskoja nukkekokoisia paitoja. Ne on luultavasti tehty Barbieille mutta yllättävän hyvin menevät myös Teenieille.

Ugh. Shaden face-up on minun tekemäni ja vaikka aluksi se tuntui minusta ihan mukiinmenevältä, alan ärsyyntyä siihen yhä enemmän. Kun katson sitä on kuin naamaani hierottaisiin koko ajan sitä tosiseikkaa että en ole lainkaan etevä face-uppien teossa. Ehkäpä olisi aika myöntää tappio ja hankkia Shadelle face-up jonkun käsissä, joka todella tietää mitä tekee. :3
